Hi Gemi and Poppy mains, I was wondering if shield bash is actually that good. Having no demolish often feels akward to me as im used to play champs who abuse demolish or have better push than poppy. Statistically Demolish performs better than Shield Bash in pretty much every elo, onetrick or not. Same goes for Overgrowth over Revitalize. But still people prefer to go these runes. I tried a lot shield bash, most of my games tbh but after the game even if i try using it a lot the numbers are quite poor. Demolish doesnt always work out either but i feel like the benefit of having at least a bit of push power later on and getting a plate after a kill/dive which you usually wouldnt get is quite nice. What are your opinions on the topic? Also how about inspiration secondary with fleet footwork and cosmic insight (we are currently in an proc item meta which makes cosmic quite handy). Especially in lanes with low kill pressure you can scale better with it.

For example this match Shieldbash is at 90 dmg at 15. Which is reasonable due to the matchup. But even when the game is over it sits at 757 which is actually not that much damage.

i think shield bash vs demolish comes down to preference and demolish should always be better in lower mmrs but me personally the way i play poppy/trading with poppy is very high prio on picking up passive shield and it rewards that kind of gameplay, paired with fimbulwinter which is built in most poppy games i prefer shield bash in most of my games. and as for fleet/cosmic im sure theyre fine but the item haste doesnt seem to big and grasp is too good to pass up imo but vs something like teemo where you cant proc it i like to go fleet or spellbook

@@Gemi_LoL thanks for your insights. My bad, i meant to say magical footwear* not fleet footwork. Perhaps shieldbash and revitalize would have a higher winrate if people played more accordingly to these strengths. It could be that the statistics are not too accurate and that ppl who play poppy better have more success with these runes.
