From what I know about Nintendo and Lego is that Nintendo believed that regular minifigures were gonna be made and that it was LEGOs idea to make the figures the way they came out.

I would have thought Owl House POPs would have been big sellers and someone did unofficial concept art POPs that looked amazing. But since it's now been a year since the show ended, I bet that ship has sailed now.

We've got Mark Hamill's Joker, Nicholson's Joker, comic Joker, and Suicide Squad Joker all as Pops. And the Tom Cruise characters...not even Lestat? I am surprised they have not made any Pops of The Rolling Stones since they have The Beatles and The Police.

I'm surprised joker doesn't have any merchandise. The movie made over 1 billion dollars. You can't say it's bc it's R rated. Deadpool is an R rated movie, there's a ton of merchandise for that. Not just the movie version, the comics as well. Before Deadpool the movie maybe there was minimal merchandise very minimal.

Some companies have included the Joker in statues or action figures, but not Funko.

Unfortunately, Todd Philips who wrote and directed Joker, has stated before he will not allow toy merchandising of his movies. He believes they cheapen his movies somehow. Also, there are certain stars that will not give consent for their image to be used, for instance Tom Cruise. Hopefully someday Nintendo will change its opinion and do a limited collaboration with Funko, and I know Brian, when he was acting CEO really lobbied for that to happen. Maybe someday some of these never will be, will become Funko pops. Never say Never. Great video!!!

Regarding Tom Cruise: he somehow had the foresight to know that movie studios would eventually have the technology to recreate actors with CGI, like with Tarkin in Rogue One. He wanted there to be a very clear, distinct prescidence that he wouldn't approve of it. After he dies, the studio won't be able to just go, "Well, he would've wanted the Mission Impossible movie to continue with Ethan Hunt." No. No, he wouldn't, and his family with easily be able to win in court.

I think that if it is because Taylor Swift is too expensive I feel like that would be a sad excuse especially because Funko has a lot of other musical artists, movies and TV shows so I’m sure that Taylor Swift would love a Funko pop of herself like who wouldn’t, the thing is it all has to do with the licensor to use that character or person from you know an artist TV show or movie but I don’t think it’s Taylor Swift herself. Like a lot of these so many people say “Funko I will never make these into pop!s” but never say never.
