Unfortunately, Todd Philips who wrote and directed Joker, has stated before he will not allow toy merchandising of his movies. He believes they cheapen his movies somehow. Also, there are certain stars that will not give consent for their image to be used, for instance Tom Cruise. Hopefully someday Nintendo will change its opinion and do a limited collaboration with Funko, and I know Brian, when he was acting CEO really lobbied for that to happen. Maybe someday some of these never will be, will become Funko pops. Never say Never. Great video!!!

I'm surprised joker doesn't have any merchandise. The movie made over 1 billion dollars. You can't say it's bc it's R rated. Deadpool is an R rated movie, there's a ton of merchandise for that. Not just the movie version, the comics as well. Before Deadpool the movie maybe there was minimal merchandise very minimal.

Regarding Tom Cruise: he somehow had the foresight to know that movie studios would eventually have the technology to recreate actors with CGI, like with Tarkin in Rogue One. He wanted there to be a very clear, distinct prescidence that he wouldn't approve of it. After he dies, the studio won't be able to just go, "Well, he would've wanted the Mission Impossible movie to continue with Ethan Hunt." No. No, he wouldn't, and his family with easily be able to win in court.

More Funko Pops that should be made but unlikely will: 1. King of the Hill 2. Any Nintendo-Owned franchises (Ex: Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem, etc.): Nintendo is iffy on certain licensing so Funko Pops may not happen. 3. Anything Lego (Ex: Ninjago, City, or even Lego Harry Potter or Lego Star Wars): Probably licensing issues 4. Sonic the Hedgehog (Movie version): It would look too similar to the regular Sonic Funko Pops from the games. 5. Any of the Vocaloid characters that are not developed by Crypton (Ex: Gakupo, IA, Gumi Megpoid): The licensing between different developers would be pretty messy. 6. Disney’s The Black Cauldron: Since this movie bombed to the point that Disney almost went bankrupt I doubt Funko would want to make pops out of this dark PG-rated animated film which is no wonder why Strange World doesn’t have Pops either. 7. Disney’s Tarzan: I don’t understand why Funko hasn’t made Pops out of this version. It’s one of the few Popular Disney movies to not have Funko Pops. 8. Phineas and Ferb: Dan Povenmire might be a bit strict on companies other than Disney making merchandise out of his shows but I’m surprised that out of all shows on Disney Channel, we still haven’t gotten PAF. Even live action shows like Hannah Montana got a Pop on Disney’s 100th Anniversary. 9. Fat Albert: Don’t think Funko would want to do anything on a series done by Bill Cosby who has done serious actions. Same thing with The Cosby Show. 10. Anything like Drake and Josh and I-Carly due to Dan Schneider but since Funko did do Ren and Stimpy despite what the creator John K. did, it’s still possible. 11. Any Mascots of Smoking or Drinking brands: Self-explanatory 12. It’s possible but I’m not sure how the licensing would work with popular animated shows today like Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, Murder Drones, or The Amazing Digital Circus. Same with Live Action stuff like SML (even though they use human puppets only now) and Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.
