Walking in REGENSBURG / Germany 🇩🇪- Rainy Autumn - 4K 60fps (UHD)

The Bavarian town of Regensburg is one of Germany's oldest towns, founded by the Romans in 179 A.D.. Regensburg has a well preserved old town which is UNESCO World Heritage site since 2006 which we visit sometimes here on POPtravel.
On this rainy afternoon in autumn our tour starts at the Old Stone Bridge which is crossing the Denube River.
We get to the Old Town of Regensburg and visit the Kohlemarkt with the Lebensbrunnen first. A few steps later we see the Medieval town hall with Baroque & Gothic elements.
Later we walk across the Haidplatz as another city square with historic buildings. We explore more of the smaller streets of Regensburg on our way south. There we se the St. Emmeram's Abbey (Kloster Sankt Emmeram) before we return to the central old town and the Neupfarrplatz.
Our tour ends at the Domplatz with Regensburg's St. Peter's Cathedral.

Of course, I have also walked those very same streets, across the Danube on the Steiner Brücke, sitting down at the Historische Wurstkuchl for Brautwürst & a Weizen, all around Domplatz, & St. Emmeran, the Opera House on Bismarkplatz & Arnulfsplatz to catch the bus back to Oma's apartment! @@poptravelorg You've no idea how happy you made me! Seeing your video, today, Tears of Joy!! I will watch those vids with a box of Kleenex from now on. Despite Safety Precautions taken by Airlines & Airports; nor being fully vaxed (2nd cousin is fully vaxed too) Covid-19 Exposure Risk is too much to ask of family over there. Otherwise, I would be there working as a building custodian just to live there. Do you need of an Assistant?

I was hoping to film the Christmas market in Regensburg- I think it’s really special. And then you can have dinner in such pretty interesting restaurants. We always went to Regensburg just before Christmas for shopping. Those times will come again and I will appreciate them so much. Lovely to have a virtual visit. Thank you.

I live in Regensburg. This must have been shot last year autumn, because some of the streets have been renewed recently. 19:45 that street in particular was a construction site from summer to autumn 2021. Yes, it was obligatory to wear masks in the old town district until spring.

@@Bluemoneystar Thanks! Daniel posted the 2020 filming date in his description, and I missed it. I know the German infection rate is very high right now, but the politicians seem reluctant to impose mask mandates again. I don't think your health systems can sustain the current levels without some action being taken, and soon, because the death rate is also rising yet again.

As the viewer SHG already mentioned it's from 2020. I'll add that to the title.. There are in fact one more Regensburg video of 2020 left even though I have Regensburg walks from 2021 - though in summer...which I may post up until next year... Even with 2-3 videos a week it takes a while until previous years get all posted. The masks are only mandatory inside closed rooms / public transport for now as everybody willing could get vaccinated by now. We'll see how it goes

I have around 100 videos uploaded but not published at the moment. By the time I'll be able to travel again it will be maybe down to 20 or so when I keep publishing 2-3 per week. The thing is that I want to offer a mix of places so even when I record a city 3 times in a row, such 3 videos will be on the channel over a longer period of time. I only have one Konstanz video and planned it to go public by the end of November anyways

Many of such walking channels either are posting from one area like interesting cities such as Tokyo, London, Paris, NYC... Some post fewer videos per year and improve those with overlays etc.. For myself I am able to travel a few times a year and then simply make a bunch of videos within 2-3 months that will be published over a longer period. Now I'm thinking about listing these videos into a "member section" so even the uploaded yet unpublished walks could be watched by subscribers. I'm still sceptical someone would be $3/month for that. For the moment it seems enough when people ask about a certain city. I can then give the link when I already have a walk...
