At the moment I'm back to the origins: Le Male. I was lucky to wear the original scent back in the 90s. And after that all other legendary scents of the 90s: L'Eau d"Issey, Eau par Kenzo (in original bamboo bottle), Gucci Guilty, LIdG. And all of that because I like the smell not because they were famous or advertised. They were not - there was no internet!

Thank you Sylvana! Finally someone that smells the ashtray in Cedrat Boise. It get's better on skin, but I have always found CB pretty aggressive. I could never understand everyone saying that is so smooth and easy to like. To my nose there is an ashtray and burnt rubber smell, but this gets better on skin after a while. Het stinkt inderdaad naar sigaretten. :D But it smells different than explorer or Aventus.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with combined opinions. The mainstream fragrances chosen here are all very popular. And in terms of smell most of them are hard to beat. And all niche fragrances may not be crowd pleaser always, except only few. It’s difficult to choose niche fragrances nowadays as they are not only on the pricy side but also smells similar, especially the popular niches and becoming redundant purchase unless in depth sampling
