The Atelier Escha & Logy Alchemist of the Dusk Sky games got turned into an Anime as well. Also the Blue Reflection games became an Anime called Blue Reflection Ray. Both made by Gust Koei Tecmo.

Yu-Gi-Oh! started as a manga series that got adapted into anime, then got multiple video games, so that one doesn't count Dragon Quest Adventures of Dai also doesn't count cause it's a Dragon Quest spin off manga that too got 2 anime adaptations I think there are other examples in this video that didn't start as games, like Dragon Ball Super Heroes or whatever the fuck it's called, due to their original source material being anything BUT a game to begin with

The "curse" of video game adaptations does not apply here, animation adaptations have existed for a long time and there have been very good, enjoyable and successful ones, so the "curse" has been dead for years theoretically. Animation has always done a better job than live action in most cases, and not all of them are adaptable to that format and it is something that many companies should understand and not underestimate animation (wherever it comes from)

The "curse" only happens when they call a not so good studio with no knowledge/context about the source material, and of course with no supervision from the original creators, that's why most of anime adaptations is not bad, they call good studios (or atleast some that could make the job done), from the same country, with the original creators involved.

Yeah. Animes and games did great over the years. My favorites are Jet Set radio future, Citrus, Panzer dragoon orta, Bocchi the rock, Ollie King, Another, Fighting EX Layer, Candy Boy, The King of fighters and the rest.

You mentioned HyperDimension Neptunia. You should try the Blue Reflection games and the Blue Reflection Ray Anime. It has the same similar gameplay. And it's both magical girls who transform during the battle gameplay.

The Blue Reflection games got turned into an Anime called Blue Reflection Ray. It's a really good series. If you have not tried them at all. I recommend you do. It's a really fun series. And it deserves all the love from the Anime, gaming and Magical Girl community that it can get.

Sorry to say this but some of the list got are wrong let me point them out. 1 Yu-gi-oh! Did not started as a Video game it started as manga series before getting a anime adaptation, unless you are referring the Upcoming Yu-gi-oh! OCG Anime adaptation base on the card game then yeah ok. 2 same as Yu-gi-oh CardFight Vanguard Did not started as a Game it came out as a anime in 2011. Also why did you put CardFight Vanguard DearDays the game in the list as a anime adaptation of the Original CardFight vanguard their not same. 3 Dragon Quest Dai is not anime adaptation base on the dragon quest games. Dragon Quest dai started as Manga Spinoff of the Dragon quest games which has no connections to the games. 4 rage of bahamut, despite it is anime adaptation of the game what you are using is manaria friends which has no connection the game. The one you are supposed to use is 2014 rage of bahamut the real anime adaptation not manaria friends. Lastly when you say anime adaptation in the title pls refer as 2d anime not 3d, since anime adaptation is meant by 2d anime like tv shows or movies not 3d. Why put resident evil and final fantasy 7 advent children in this list when it’s not considered be anime yes it’s adaptation but its a 3d movie not a anime adaptation also if your gonna use final fantasy 7 in the list pls use final fantasy 7 last order as this one is considered be anime adaptation.
