I work in a sweet factory in the UK.I have to say that I'm not impressed with all the hair escaping from hair nets and beard snoods either not being worn at all or not covering moustaches.Nobody wants to find a hair in their candy!! Also, no one is wearing overalls.Overalls are worn to protect the candy from humans not to protect humans from candy. The lady at the beginning carries the candy cane mix by holding it against her shirt which means it can be contaminated by foreign bodies, ie buttons, thread or hair.

She give you a big lollipop and you end at the shopping store.. make sure you take pictures with the old truck outside.... hey is free about 25 minute tour or so...

Yikes! 😮the lady working on the marshmallow production line is creeping me out. After she cuts the marshmallow pliable solution into large squares, she folds into a foursquare. Then to lift the marshmallow square, she slides her entire (unprotected) forearm under the marshmallow square to move it to another location. According to health & safety standards, none of her unprotected skin should make contact. Rightfully , she has on gloves for the health protection of the consumer, however why are her forearms covered? Seems the management and corporate should modify the gloves to come up to their elbows to protect consumer from any epidermal skin condition or employee related allergies. The rubber or latex glove's modification could be extended to include a cotton fabric lining from the rubber gloved covered (🖐 =■■■■■ = gloved hand + ■ covered forearm).---> wrist up, so's to prevent any cross contamination to the edible product. Hello Araci, hello love from an old English great grandmother. Yes you are very right in saying candy isnt good for you but, that is only in these times of far too much of it, and I might add not this pure stuff, altho again in moderation. I was growing up in the 1950's n rationing was severe in England after the war n I'd get 2ounces of sweets a week! And mostly they were wholesome like these ones. I remember one morning I woke up after dreaming of a Cocacola. There was bottle of cola on the mantelpiece in my bedroom when I woke up. God, it was Christmas, birthday and everything else! Soft drinks were very hard to come by for the poorest Londoners like us. My older brothers and sisters must have heard me talking in my sleep n clubbed together to by one for me, the baby of the family, we were 6 kids on all. As for sweets, candy to you, it was nigh impossible cos of rationing. When there was no food in the house a standby was bread soaked in hot milk with a sprinkle of sugar on. It was called Pobs for some reason. I and all the Baby Boomers from 1948 onwards had the very best start. Britain had to build a better place to live in. The National Health service started and in my family I'm number 6 n the last child had the best start. Polio vaccination, diphtheria vaccination, National Dried milk. Oh we poorest people were so bloody lucky. Not much food very few sweets but good stuff like the video. Mind you I wouldn't like to turn the clock back. Life in many ways is better now. Much love from England. Ps enjoy a sweetie or two.xxxxx .
