Beautiful, nice work! Was there any floor prep/self leveling needed ?
@TileProUSA Жыл бұрын
The original subfloor was within the required plane. The self-leveler was only used to encapsulate the heating cable within the membrane.

Hi thanks for the videos! Do you always cut nitches after the slab thinset is dry or not necessarily?
@TileProUSA Жыл бұрын
it all depends on the particular situation and the size of the slab.

Great video!👍👍 why is the shower floor higher than the restroom floor?
@jhscolombianito75986 ай бұрын
This is another level. Lol is not for inpatient tilers. You made the niche cuts on-site, cause it was broken-easy carrying it?
@TileProUSA6 ай бұрын
@@jhscolombianito7598 Thank you! Cutting such niches after the mortar has dried is the safest way because it eliminates vibration and greatly reduces the tension.

Thank you for all your content. Quick question. What thinset you us for Dekton Optima? The super super thin slaps? Thank you
@TileProUSA Жыл бұрын
For large format tile panels I mostly use Mapei Ultralite S2.

@@TileProUSA Do I still need to prime resin-back tile like the ones from Consentino before hand? Thank you very much for your help. 🙏
@TileProUSA Жыл бұрын
@@smithjhonnysamuel3 unless you use a silane-modified adhesive like Mapei Eco GPT or Bostik Bosti-Set, or an epoxy adhesive, you will need to use a rapid-drying primer for non-absorbent surfaces when working with resin-backed panels like Dekton Slim or similar. Mapei Eco Prim Grip, Ardex P4, Laticrete Prime-N-Bond, Uzin PE 280, etc.

Hey Pasha. Why did you pre-cut the tile for a niche before installation?
@TileProUSA Жыл бұрын
I didn't fully cut it through. That's my method for fabricating niches when I have to do a cut-out after the installation. I pre-drill the radius in the corners and cut a 1/16" (2 mm) deep groove with Rubi TC-125 wet rail saw using 5" (125 mm) diameter quality diamond blade. Then I use Montolit CSS 100 slim blade with grinder to cut-out the niche the next day.
