I have to tell you this is the best sink EVER. All MFG that make sinks make an indention at the drain inside the sink and it ALWAYS holds water and stains. You created a sink that seats the drain and with NO indention. I love it. I have 3 bathrooms. Woman 67 in Texas.

He has a water jet at the back just out of camera shot! But TBH To fabricate this using just the basics, tile cutter and grinder is next level craftsmanship. Hand made porcelain basins like this, here in the UK, are going to cost in excess of 2000 pounds! Far from easy to make, although you wouldn’t believe it from this video! This is definitely the guy that you want to be tiling your bathroom!!!!!

I'm a big fan of your work! It's inspired me to give it a go myself. I purchased some cheap tiles to prototype and trial with, and I have some questions regarding my results: 1) I found it incredibly difficult to do a nice 45o bevel with an angle grinder, particularly so on the inner edges of the trough. I found that the polished edge of the tile would chip when I did it with my angle grinder. I suppose that this is a matter of practice, but it could also be my blade. Is there a particular blade you recommend? 2) What adhesive do you use? I saw on one of your other videos, and from comments that you use Tenax, but there are several different polyester adhesives they carry. Is it the "Knife Grade White" that you use, or some other one? 3) What dyes do you use for your adhesive? 4) What size of hole saw do you use to cut the holes? 5) Where do you get the stainless steel drain pipe? 6) How do you glue the drain pipe to the sink? Do you seal it as well? I plan on making a very large sink, 20"x40"x12". Given the size, I was planning on supporting it from the bottom and building it into a cabinet. Do you have any advice/suggestions/reservations? Keep up the great work, your sinks look amazing!
@Porcelanataria_45_graus11 ай бұрын
Hello dear! Thank you for the watching and the comment. I really appreciate it. 1) yes this is the matter of practice. But you can try instead of grinding conical stone to use polishing pad N 200. 2)about poliester glue. Here where I’m living Tenax is expensive one. So we use another poliester glue. It is cheaper . Try to make some tests with glues of Tenax. I know there are solid and liquid form. Did you try to work with solid one? 3) I use common dyes used for painting walls 4) 32 mm or some times 35 mm 5) take a look at Aliexpress. 6) you mean the sink drain valve right? I fix with sealant PU 40 . Do not use poliester glue for fixing it.
@Porcelanataria_45_graus11 ай бұрын
About fixing. I would use 2 brackets fixed on the wall to support the sink, and after installing the sink I would fix a cabinet . But your idea is good as well. You can put the sink about some bottom of the cabinet .

My friend, this was incredible! what a great video and product. Muito Legal! I justt started up my bathroom remodeling company, and have been interested in offering custom sinks like this. Will be trying it out. At the end, I see a piece of tile covering the drain. how much space on all sides to you leave for drainage? And are there any "feet" under it holding it up for the water to run? Sorry if I missed it in the video!

Very creative. Quick question for you: I have purchased a basin which looks like it’s constructed exactly like this with pieces of tiles glued together and the weight is quite heavy. As i am quite old school and used to one piece molded basins I’m a bit paranoid as to how durable the glue is that’s holding all these tiles together. And essentially the main bowl holding the water has lots of tile joints. Do these hold up well even if the bowl was full of water and in the long run?
@Porcelanataria_45_graus Жыл бұрын
Hello dear! Thank you! Yes it is very important the tile joints hold up the water and the sink do not leak. For this there is some process to glue the pieces between themselves. Check some important step: 1) after polishing it is important make a rough surface . In the video I have showed how to do this 2) before glue the tiles you need to eliminate all dust etc 3) to use PU sealant in all corners and tape for drywall with the glue to reinforce the pieces. Wish you to fabricate your sink with your ✋ 🤚

so is the only thing holding up the sink a rod glued to tiles on the wall? Or am I missing the way it is attached? also I wonder the integrity of the sink if someone we to drop something heavy like a buzzer or hair dryer because it is hollow? I might try to make something like a ramp style but maybe reinforce the back with some sort of substrate
@Porcelanataria_45_graus9 ай бұрын
To fix the sink you can use any mount brackets according your preference. In my case I use diamond saw hole diameter 35 mm and the tube with d=33 mm. With the saw I drill a hole on the wall and after put the tube into the wall and fix with mortar or with proper glue for marbles. The reason: is cheaper in 3 times then mountain bracket. About integrity of the sink. The sink from porcelain tiles is like any clay-based ceramic material. If something heavy to drop about there is risk to be broken. And congratulations for your observation: actually there is important to reinforce with another layer of tiles to improve resistance .
