Boy us dads are just getting slaughtered with the dad jokes lately hehehehehe....guess I’m a fun guy too...uuuggghh. Anyway I’m gonna have to make ramen noodles now, never knew how easy! By the way, love my new hoodie and thanks for not selling garbage!! I have supported other channels with buying some swag only to be very disappointed. For all of u needing a hoodie, buy one of his when he sells them. Good stuff!

Seeing your creativity so casually presented speaks loudly of your modesty. It is the first Haute Cuisine Ramen I've ever seen and can only imagine its taste. It was fun to watch though I expect it to be a bit more difficult to emulate. Thumbs up!

Sitting down to dinner and I see there’s a new episode. Yesss! Start to get excited/weirded out as it goes on. My noodles are rice noodles, not ramen, but my broth has dried wild porcinis, smoked peppers from the garden, smoked feather boa kelp, and I have half a leftover crab on the side as accompaniment. No smoked fish, but there is some leftover roast duck that I raised so maybe on the same level? For once I watched a catch and cook with no fomo! 🍜

Also how cool to give a shout-out to Bernal Cutlery - if you're lucky enough to be within reach of SF Mission, they are AWESOME. I live near them, worked as a cook last year. They sharpen knives at $1/inch and have a gorgeous shop. Their showroom is like an art gallery for knives.

The slurping rule is the real deal when eating noodles! It made it look so much more appetizing lol
@ThydaCookingTV3 жыл бұрын
Yes agree
@alniques3 жыл бұрын
Slurping is essential with hot hot noodles. The main purpose is to cool the noodles as it enters your mouth because of the air you suck in. I have to scold one of my sons because he’s so used to slurping his noodles that he does it with spaghetti too and gets sauce all over him. Lol

I wish Americans were taught how to hunt for mushrooms, and how to cultivate them. I know that it is not that difficult, but it seems like there is some kind of hold-up on the growing of mushrooms. I think it is because you can only buy a log with seed on it, and after that, there are no more. People want heirloom seed, that they can keep replanting. I have never seen a mushroom get a seed head. I love the Asian stir fry mushrooms, the shiitake, which is what we should grow in the US. If they can grow mushrooms in the basement of old buildings in New York City, the farmers should be able to in the south. I think that someone is preventing it, most likely on the hold on the seed. As far as hunting them, it is about the same response, few know what is edible, don't want to get poisoned. Even as a Native American well trained [in my area of the country that is,] in wild edible plants, I still do not know much about mushroom hunting to add it into our diet. Where did he learn this, in his native country? I knew the Russians that came here, we recorded their album at Moraine Music, Bering Straight, went out hunting wild mushrooms to cook, so most other countries know how to add in food foraged.
