No doubt there are walls in communication, not only between the person speaking and you, but there is the difference between what the person intends to say and what the words mean and then there is you listening putting your own experiential and logical spin on what she is trying to say. Its usually a she that you have problems listening to. As far as learning, you have to apply your ideas before you learn them. The exercises in any math book prove that mathematicians believe this so it must be true 8-) I'm sure that it is, you have to write it, create it or compute it / prove it before you fully get it. Your mind has to be free to be living and/or learning. But you need discipline to stay on track. But when you are not on track you are more creative.

Reminds me of the darwinian idea : 'fitness'. And i would add, that when it comes to authority, it only REMAINS in power, with the sanction of the 'ruled'. So the key is to embue the knowledge and wisdom of the ancients, into the make up of the peoples of any given civilsation. As , what happens without this transfer of understanding, is civilisation ceases to be (over time), and what we are left with is an demon possesed occult, striving to take the place of God. Blind to the fact that when you destroy civilisation, there is nothing left to be king/God of. Thanks PROF. Always grateful.

Well to be reminded of something meant I wasn't really listening. So, what I saw heard and learned was more about how I felt about the message. It came with ease and a gentleness that meant that on reflection of the video told me that putting quiet reminders in my daily life to really listen observe and learn from someone doesn't require my opinion of what they have said. What I have learned from these, and your message, is that relaxing your attention enables a simple restructuring of your actual opinion and views at a deeper level that any confrontation which stems from more conscious and unauthentic knowledge. Good question.

He's very articulate and capable of transferring his knowledge on a fantastic level to young people. Giving example on why books and stories of elder people are very helpful. Since young people, for good reason, stop listening to older people as a stage of growing up. It is good to find the right dose of self determination and openness towards other peoples ideas/experiences

With my current impression of Dr Peterson (wich is very positive i should add) i imagine him being right dead in the center. His insight transcends that of something so pointlessly simple as a divide of politics. I bet modern politics, (yes politics, not policies) from his perspective, is just human beings doing their normal human being things. He knows that you need all sides of politics to have a voice in order to steer a nation properly. All this is below him. His mind is on to bigger things.

Nordic Modro 100% I would describe him as a conservative progressive or at least what he describes here as a someone fit for pharoah. The new name is "hierarchy of authority". I'm glad he changed the name cause it's not about dominating anybody at all. That's not the goal of climbing the hierarchy. While climbing up in the hierarchy you have to take more and more responsibility and be more and more useful for more people. I love the message of the dominance hierarchy/hierarchy of authority

In addition to practical applications, Jordan Peterson tipped me off to a another dimension that I'm now watching for in horror movie narratives. The people who are not paying attention, especially willfully not paying attention like Osiris, are the first to go. I'll continue to watch for that and see how often it's true. I'm usually focused on sequence analysis (nonverbal) rather than literary elements.
@wilhelm_mordgesicht

Hah! That's a pretty good observation. It seems like characters that die often have their minds clouded with excessive concern, ex for their own survival or for a dog. (I have to go out there, Fido is out there with the zombies!). Or, not paying attention to the kid or scientist who understands the problem. Q: what do you think is common among scientists, children, and survivors in horror movies? What are they paying attention to about the threat specifically? I'm not sure. Also what is a nonverbal sequence analysis? Great comment, thank you!

Would this be a fair summary : You have to be awake to malevolence (attention) , and when confronted with it, you seek out your old traditions and give them modern vision.
@sparthacuster
@sparthacuster 5 жыл бұрын
To make it simple: Horus is the ability to pay attention and observe your own thoughts, habits and behaviours. When you do that you kill Set, Set being malevolence. Malevolence loses its power when observed and discovered cuz it ALWAYS wants to remain in the dark. Thats actually exactly the same practice as meditation, you OBSERVE (see) YOURSELF! Hence the saying “Know yourself” . You are Set, Osiris, ISIS and Horus. ITS YOU!! Sort yourself out! 🙏

I really wish you could all have seen the cognitive imagery that occurred as I took that in. I read the collective archetypes of the subconscious and the dark side of the inner child in my early 20's and have never been the same. I suddenly understand how cults are formed and have the sudden urge to pledge an oath to follow sensei Peterson into the gates of hell. As of late Ive been tripping on the eye of horus representing the pineal gland (listening to 3rd eye binaural beats in my sleep). So to pick this video this morning is just...well it's perfect. It's only a matter of time before the willfully blind label Peterson the antichrist. Which is stupid because he's clearly the light bearer ;)
@achillestitan989

@MsAgnostica Goes Quantum I spent over 2 years listening to binaural beats sleep meditation with a tongue in cheek mentality. To suddenly have verbal communication fall away and suddenly see people (and their individual intents) laid bare in a visible base operating energy system felt like a psychotic break would (i imagine). Sufficed to say I now honor all chakra points equally. I read' the darkside of the inner child' and 'collective archetypes of the subconscious' in my 20's and was changed forever. It's good for those who journey within to look up once in a while and realize we are not alone in our "individual" quests to slay dragons and gain fortune. We are what we believe we are...so like...make it epic brother! ;)

So, across time a dominant force appears which inspires the pinnacle of a moral society. Individuals repeat the reconstitution of that dominant force within themselves which in turn awakens the dead to lost values. The USA was originally established on that pinnacle of values and thrived for centuries. Then what happened? The darker region of alternative consciousness learned how to present itself as a reasonable alternative. Because humans are such easy prey, many of them have fallen for this alternative. They actually believe they can replace the absolute pinnacle with something equally as effective or even better than the absolute pinnacle. Thus the USA is in conflict as are many nations around the globe. Truth and clarity are being challenged in favor of lesser gods. This struggle will reach a breaking point. What will be the nature and expression of that breaking point?

Each microbit of the total macro organism recapitulates the totality, is a micro-form of it and can mirror it back, being isomorphic with it; in doing so, the human micro osm retrieves the entire wisdom (gnosis) of the MacroMind and experiences the vast spatial reality of the totality within itself, as a mirror. Thus mirror, space, memory and wisdom are the keys to completeness by the human ; through them he experiences his isomorphism with the macrocosm and its mind. He can enter dialogue with it: his mind and its thinking back and forth. In this process, the MacroMind contracts itself (as man expands himself);it becomes a human figure; as man the microform becomes the macrocosm it contracts to become micro--thus they wind up equal, in harmonie, hand-in-hand, man and his God.

Could a parallel be established between the christian Holy Trinity (God father, God son and God spirit being three yet one) and the egyptian myth of Osiris (god father), Horus(god son) and Isis (god spirit), where Osiris and Horus rule as one, the same way Christ rules besides his father?
@CaseyCranePhoto
@CaseyCranePhoto 6 жыл бұрын
That parallel is actually fairly well-known (at least in academic circles). But the concept of a trinity is actually almost a universal in religious thought. There's also the concept of ethos, pathos and logos in Greek philosophy. That's why I like Jordan Peterson so much. He manages to tie mythology from every Source together.

Monotheism vs polytheism.. is single mindedness. We're emotional beings and to the inner child there can be only one.. so that the other deities should be dismissed as inferior. But then of course in reality we are NOT in fact single facet beings and single mindedness has error. The whole world is not a yes/no, pass/fail, binary dichotomy.. so that you go back to a polytheistic mindset where Ole' Ole' GOoD is everywhere pantheistically.. and you go about collecting the traits of what is good among men to build into a bigger picture central profile. And GOoD is the antithesis of evil. GOoD is honest because we are liars. GOoD is reason because the inner child, emo true self is irrational. GOoD is giving because Grudge Self or the id is selfish. GOoD is the positive superior trait to the negative traits of the id.

Can't clean your room if you don't pay attention.

I think this is backwards. I pay little attention to cleaning, I just do it. If you have habits that include keeping rooms clean -- then the room does not require your attention. Your brain can't tell what parts of the chaos might be important. It seems to me like cleaning your room _buys_ you attention. Attention which you can spend on more valuable things than your room. ** You can't pay attention unless you clean your room. **

+Ben Baker - Depends what you mean by 'clean your room'. I see it as the act of paying attention to what's out of order in the domain of your life. Jordan encourages cleaning your room because the act of paying attention to what's out of order in your immediate vicinity is the same process as paying attention to things that are chaotic in your own life and then acting in a manner that will sort that out. So I would argue that we need to pay attention before we can even begin to figure out what needs sorting out.

I love this. I think you're spot on. This is the dragon eating it's tail. Because it's absolutely both. The cleaner your room, the better you can pay attention. And the better you can pay attention, the cleaner your room can be. Ad infinitum. It's clean rooms all the way down. When you come back from the under world and are able to clearly articulate whatever truth you've found in it, you can build better tools to make you more powerful for your next journey into the chaos, and thus you can bring more loot back, and build even better tools. It's a positive feedb... oh my god life is minecraft.

The reason I need men like Jordan Peterson is because that while I can understand these ideas, I can't always figure them out, or see them, for or by myself. It is exactly what makes him a good teacher - he saves me time. It helps, too, that he has the kind of big spirit that he does. Thank you, sir. If I were in early twentieth century India I might call you Mahatma.
