Please come back to Cebu, Rex! I watched your special a few years ago and almost peed my pants (didn't want to go to the bathroom in the middle of your set and we were in the 4th row)

I know it's a 2 month old comment, but just can't resist. He said "steals". I see you knew that word too?? I thought I invented it! I admit I spoke "stealed" once, suddenly paused, and laughed at myself. Funny thing is, the foreigners didn't even know! Hahaha!

@nenabunena i don't think it adds flavor if they did it that way. i'm from cebu and i've never heard that way of preparing lechon. i've seen how they prepare cebu lechon. the flavor comes from the stuffing, the way its cooked and the constant basting...
@scottwpilgrim3 жыл бұрын
Cause it's rare for Cebuanos to do that to pigs, but this is how you traditionally "clean" a goat before the slaughter. Cruel, and somewhat useless.
@TheKorfish13 жыл бұрын
@nenabunena um people do that hear in the states as well also in parts of europe, asia and I think south america.

noob lechon eaters eat the top skin where professional lechon eaters wait in the bushes for the belly, coz thats the most delicious part, why? all the seasonings,herbs and salts are stuck in the belly thats where the flavor is concentrated......now you know.

wait a minute, is this true? do they marinate that way? they force the pig to drink it while it's alive? kc if it's true, kawawa naman, that's torture & it's believable for it to happen in the philippines.

+Nabil Tohoin There's 2 types of Filipino's that don't eat pork for spiritual, and religious reasons, the Muslim's from the Moro-Land, and Filipino's that are Arhat's (a.k.a) Arhatic Yogi's, or Pranic Healing practitioners, or anyone that mediatates aren't supposed to eat Pork, or anything considered a Bottom Feeder, because the're considered to to be energetically dirty. For someone that meditates a lot , it can cause Kundalini Syndrome.

A lot of my friends are from Muslim backgrounds, yet they eat pork and don't care. Here in Canada, most neighbourhood butcheries are operated by Moroccans, and most of them handle and eat pork. My first-ever girlfriend was Algerian, and she ate pork too; even though I'm Vietnamese, and I don't.
