Last did that self-same walk in the mid-80s. In an ever-changing world it is immensely reassuring to see nothing has changed in that time to spoil the beauty of the surroundings. The south west is my spiritual home which I haven’t been able to visit for many years: your videos are a first-rate substitute for actually being there, so thanks and please continue delivering such enjoyable content!

Thanks so much Pam! That’s lovely feedback! Really pleased that you enjoyed it! Such a delight to film. I am so lucky that doing the channel takes me to some awesome places! I used to just go shopping or do chores on my days off! Now I get to go to gorgeous places and capture my memories of them for others and myself to enjoy for many years to come 🤗

Hi Louise great to see the smallest church in England, and in such a beautiful location too. I think you said it seats 33, we have the smallest one in the UK here up in North Wales seating just 6 ! St Trillos in Rhos on Sea, you might have seen our video of it, I love places like this and you gave us a lovely tour. Loved the walk that took you here, hope the knees and jeans are OK , it was lovely through the woodland seeing the tunnels and hearing about them, and that seat carved into the wall was really lovely. This was great , have a good week :) ~ Anna 💞👍

Thanks so much Anna! It really is a beautiful location! I was wondering where the smallest church in the UK is and wondered if it might be in Wales. That must be super tiny to seat just 6 people. I need to go and find your video of that as I don’t remember watching that one. Knees and jeans are fine .. Diolch 🤗 Have a great week too!

@@SouthWestSundays You always go to such beautiful locations and do well explained tours and yes it may have been before we got to know each other, it's about 6 few months old I guess. Glad you're OK now 😃

After watching this yesterday morning my wife and I who are in the area at the moment decided to do this walk. I have to say that it was absolutely delightful and thank you very much for the inspiration. The fact about the music video added even more to the walk. Many thanks!

There may have been no blue sky, but it was a great day for a walk. You are so brave even singing a few notes, it's a good thing you have a good voice. The church was a delight, thank you.

Ah, thank you Faith!! I quite like singing 🤗 It’s difficult with KZbin as can not include a lot of popular music because of copyright so me singing is a good work around it 😆 Yes, it was a really lovely day for a walk and so pretty and peaceful, especially the church. Thanks for your lovely comment!

Very good video! I didn't know that about the tunnels - I wonder what that fairy tale palace would have looked like? I also didn't know that about the music video either - that's one of my favourite (and very moving and poignant) songs - I loved how you got around the YT copyright problem!! You sang it really well! Sorry to hear you fell over - hopefully no bruises - a shame it was with your new jeans too. I was really interested about the chap from the Commonwealth Graves Commission too. Some super facts here, a great walk, and good company. Brilliant Louise!

Thanks so much Paul! Yes, I wonder too! I did have a look online quickly but could not see any illustrations. First time I have heard about the music video too! Love researching stuff for videos and learning little things like that. I just watched the official music video again. It’s so lovely and as you Swamy so poignant and moving. I came off free from cuts and hopefully free from bruises too. Just a little scratch on one hand! It did make me say a few choice words at the time though as it hurt for a while! Yes, that chap was fascinating to chat to! It was quite funny really as he passed me at the tunnels and asked if I knew anything about them and I was able to pull out my notes and tell him from my research! On the way back when he showed me the photos he had taken at the church and how nice it was I told him about the music video that was made there! I love how doing KZbin increases our knowledge of so much! Loved your video of it too which I rewatched recently. Aww! Thank you for the kind singing compliments! I still have that ear worm!

Really enjoyed this walk, the church was so dinky 😃 I must explore some of the coast path this year - saw a snippet of it at Weymouth this week but not enough!
@SouthWestSundays
@SouthWestSundays Жыл бұрын
Oh nice! Yes definitely explore it! It’s so scenic and so varied in gradient, views etc. I think coast path walks are some of my favourite content to film. My very first KZbin video was a Coast Path one. I want to re do it actually soon as the original accidentally contained copyright music underneath my talking and I had to mute everything and replace with new music. My voice was inseparable from the music once it had published.lol! Really looking forward to doing that one again!

Lovely video. I live locally and I believe the tunnels were built so that Ada Lovelace couldn’t see/be seen by “tradespersons” when she was walking about the grounds.

There used to be a leper colony in Culbone. The church has a small window that the lepers used to use; because they weren't allowed in the church.
