This study explores the use of whey powder in Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) to create porous carbon artifacts. Whey powder, heated at 150°C, forms solid parts due to melanoidin formation from lactose and whey proteins. Carbonized whey artifacts maintain their shape with controlled shrinkage, allowing for precise printing with high porosity and mechanical strength.
