Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport "Trackday" by Manthey-Racing | All You Need to Know

Manthey-Racing is expanding its motorsport product range with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport "Trackday" MR and is thus launching a model perfectly tailored for Trackday use. The MR Performance package for the club sport racer consists of an extended safety package and lightweight components made of carbon and natural fibre. This leads to a weight reduction of up to 46 kilograms. In addition, the vehicle will be delivered to customers in a black and white MR special foil.
The close-to-production mid-engine sports car in the "Trackday" version is aimed at drivers who want to use a racing car at private racetrack events and club sports events. "Get in, buckle up, start, drive off" - this is the motto of the "Turn-Key" racing car. After the Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR (991.2) presented in August, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport "Trackday" MR is the second MR model presented by the Meuspath company this year.
"With the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport "Trackday" MR it is possible to gain racetrack experience within a very short time, as it is as close to series production as possible, but at the same time very compatible with the racetrack. The weight reduction and the resulting optimised power-to-weight ratio should make the model even more attractive for our customers", says Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey-Racing GmbH.

- Door foam driver's side
- Carbon front bumper
- Carbon rear bumper
- Carbon wings incl. lightweight headlights
- Lightweight polycarbonate windscreen
- Carbon tailgate
- Natural fibre front lip
- Natural fibre diffuser
- Protection grille set for air intake
- Lightweight battery

This car does not make much sense... it's not a race car, it's not a street legal, just a track car that you have to tow to the track? Might as well get the race car do the trackdays and maybe the local gt4 championship... when it ends a couple of mods and go rally on rgt. This has no use really.

MR has impoved so much that more and more people start to know them. I think more people will order them directly from Porsche. And maybe in the near future it just become the role like AMG to Mercedes?

I think that will be the end, Mclaren are already doing it with the R versions, Porsche could very well do it with the MR versions, thing is, German regulations allow much more than the US (some states) and this is particularly relevant regarding aero. Maybe we will see a equivalent 620r from Porsche

This is close to perfection. If there was a way street legal this car you would have legions of people buying these. Trailering and frequency of use would hinder many of us. Yet, we still don't want to convert our street GT Porsches for total track use because of value loss. Drive to the track and home would be the ticket!

Whenever I see a Cayman video I go to Autotrader and look for 6 cyl Cayman GTS’s. There’s a beautiful private owner red one in San Diego for $60k. I’ve never spent more than $28k on a car so I’m not ready for that kind of coin but it’s good to know there are some sweet ones out there.

Good question. Goggling the Cayman gt4 clubsport says weight is 2910lbs = 1320kgs. -45kgs manthey weight reduction would bring it to 1275kg (kerb weight I assume not dry)
