Super Fahrer, super Auto, super Sound, riesen Aufwand. Macht aber nächstes mal keine halben Sachen, sondern stellt die Kamera in den Fußraum. Damit stellt ihr sicher, das man auch den wenigen Rest nicht sieht.

Die Strecke im große Bild und der Innenraum im Kleinen hätten mir besser gefallen um leichter zu sehen, wo Gerde gefahren wird. Ach ja, und Gas- und Bremspedal fände ich interessanter als G-Force. Ansonsten: Sehr gut gefahren!

Well observed. Christian has shown he is willing and able to take most cars right to their limit on the Nordschleife, but here he is hesitant to use the full potential of the car. Has to steer in a lot to find the front axle traction limit, brakes too early, does not carry enough speed around the fast corners. Cleary, the car is not communicating it's limits very well and has a very small window of maximum performance before you are being spit off the track by a minor mistake. If you are used to how the car handles and have gone beyond its traction limits, you can drive a lot harder - which very likely has a big impact of how Bergmeister was able to extract a much better time.

I noticed something interesting. Let's say, I compared the official times with the times achieved by the Sport Auto. I compared BMW and Porsche, the difference between the time set by the BMW and the Sport Auto is more or less around 3 seconds, and the difference between the time achieved by the Porsche and the time achieved by the Sport Auto is over 10 seconds. My observation, I don't know why it doesn't manage to get close to the times that Porsche achieves, is it because of some other settings that Porsche uses? To make sure there is no confusion, I looked at the times achieved on the 20.6km used by Sport Auto.

My take is that Porsche is way more serious about setting laptimes, look at the driver and the effort. Then, the cars are that much more capable, and it demands for even more skills tonget there. Christian is good, but Lars and Kevin are on a way different level

@@Danksta911 The times were set by Jörg Bergmeister for the Porsche GT3 RS and for the GT4 RS. He's not even at Kevin's level, I'm giving an example. Christian is not a worse driver than Jorg. I think that Porsche has special settings that it uses to set the time, that they are not the same as those used by Sport Auto, that is, Christian. Although I may be wrong, who will know, but I think that the Porsche you buy does not have the same settings as the Porsche with which they set the times on the track, while perhaps the BMW you buy has the same settings, practically from the factory, and that is why the times Christian sets with the BMW are almost the same .

One is designed as multi purpose car with added performance features afterwards. Other is designed as performance sports car from day 0. No surprise which one allows drivers to push harder while still being in control.

They send a whole team there (not so expensive for them as it's a short drive) who will optimize everything, and I've seen for some runs they've added aero rings (aerodiscs) on the outside of the wheels, which is probably an option (loophole lol), but which you never see on street cars or in mag tests.

Mittlerweile optimiert Porsche schon von Haus aus so sehr, dass man da nicht mehr viel rausholen kann. Ich nehme am bei GT3 RS wird Manthey auch nicht mehr viel verbessern können.

I checked now and it turns out it's not much. In motorsports (GT3 championship) improving lap time by 1 second costs from $200,000 to half a million dollars!
