When the Porsche 911T was introduced in 1968, it redefined the concept of sporting simplicity. In the years since, the ethos of the original has evolved to bring us the 2017 911 Carrera T. Though no longer the entry-level option it once was, the new T remains focused on the purity of the 911 experience; what isn’t necessary, isn’t there. It is light, focused, the antithesis to apathy, and tangible proof that some people still care about the way driving makes us feel.

I skimmed the comments and...Sure enough, it doesn't disappoint. Everyone complaining about a paid commercial. But so what. This channel makes some of the best car vids on the internet, and if money from Porsche helps them to continue making high quality films about cars, than I'm all for it. I can't imagine these videos are cheap or easy to make. so unless you want to throw them some money to not use paid endorsements, then just enjoy and shut up.

Miguel Garcia I don't believe they are perfecting it. Just enhancing, making what's great about a Porsche even better. They haven't changed the lay out or barely touched the design. It's still a flawed car, just a better flawed car than the Porsche. I'm just mad about singer taking out the rear reflector of the 911, that thing is so beautiful.

untitled795 I agree with you in certain aspects, but the quality and execution of singer is beyond oem norm, overly restored, and the complete Mix and matching of parts and aesthetic makes it a completely different car. Rob stated that singer is a reimagination of all generations of the 911 while celebrating it......so in other words its his interpretation of the 911 so in my opinion it is a completely different car even though its using a few 911 parts and has the same design language......

Drove a 911 Carrera 4S for the first time last summer and it put me in a strange place mentally. I’ve never driven a better car, but... at the moment I can’t afford one. So everything including my B6 S4 is second fiddle till I can afford it.

The shot at 2:59 is what I've always imagined heaven looking like. And ever since I heard the 911T was coming out, I've been waiting impatiently to see videos of it. Having Petrolicious do it makes it that much better. We don't see many modern (or brand new) cars on Petrolicious, but the new and old models together is perfect and something I hope we see more often. Bang up job again Petrolicious!

Yes, sure it did seem like a commercial, but the point is the 911 is a product of evolution not revolution. And Porsche have remained true to that philosophy. The fact that I think they are wrong, (as the engine should be mid-mount) has nothing to do with it. Keep up the good work.

A good video, but I still do not understand the 991 T. A total 20KG saving on a car that weighs over 1400KG is surely the most pathetic weight saving on any car in history. Porsche should be embarrassed to mention it. Lotus can achieve far more than that with an Elise which barely weighs much in the first place.

You also get bucket seats, lightweight glass, standard sports exhaust and PASM, and some special interior things. It really is a great value starting less than a Carrera S. To spec a standard Carrera with the same options it would be more expensive.

I don't know but I kinda feel the guys behind this video are very talented with the camera but not so much with cars. They brilliantly captured the car with some gorgeous shots but the video itself doesn't have that kind of feeling you'd expect from a Petrolicious video. "Not a Petrolicous-esque video." I guess the 60fps format and the music gives the video a very modern, up-to-date makeover; which I cannot relate to Petrolicious. Felt the emphasis was more on the production (it trying to be an eye candy) rather than fulfilling a petrolhead's craving. But that's just my opinion.

Don't get me wrong I think the 911R is a fantastic car, but it's not worth twice (or 3x) what this or the GT3 is worth. Porsche should be telling all of the dealers that have crazy mark-ups on the "R" to go f#*k themselves.

It is an interesting thing thats happening with the 911R's, I dont think they have got that value because they are something much more special than the GT3 or this T, but because it was something that was a complete new step for Porsche, and collectors were willing to pay way more than normal for this new and exclusive item. Either way, ALL the cars shown in this film are all in my 'dream garage'.

Not really, don't understand how this has upvotes. The R is quite different from a turbo Carrera, being based on the GT3. The GT3 Touring could be interpreted as middle finger, but really only to people who only see the R as investment. No one buying an R should be surprised that Porsche would continue offering cars like it. The GT3 Touring existing doesn't invalidate the R.

This is the thing, that makes me watch other channels....too bad, I found petrolicious a year or two ago and thought, Wow, this is fantastic. Now, it’s just an ad? I must disagree with their premise about the evolution of the 911. The early ones were a mess to drive, dangerous even. Porsche has corrected its faults and greatly improved the car evident by the 911 of today. However, Porsche did produce a far superior sports car in the Cayman/Boxster, the proof of this is the fact that Porsche consistently given it an under powered engine. Porsche does this because they know the Cayman would prove to be superior to its older stablemate.
