Porsche 928 Project Video #2: Sunroof Switch Replacement - 1988 S4

Welcome to another episode of my Porsche 928 project videos - today I am replacing the sunroof switch in a 1988 S4 model. The part is the same for all models up to 1989 so this should apply to several generations of the 928.

Tag a chase line before removing the first switch and the the reinstall will be easier.

Was the sunroof slow before you replaced the switch? Wondering if maybe mine is a motor issue thanks for the vid

It was more finicky than slow. You'd have to click it 3-4 times for it to engage because the internal contacts had worn down on the old switch. Works on the first try now.

Thanks for the video. Question: I need to do the same repair for my passenger side window switch. Will I find those wires & plug in roughly the same place you found the sunroof plug? Meaning, do they end at the plug under the dash in the same area. Thanks!

Thinking back, I'm 90% sure that's the case that they plug in near the sunroof terminal under the dash.
