Porsche 944 S1: Sound with Dansk Exhaust and K&N Sport Airfilter

with S1 I meant Series 1. The early version of the the Porsche 944 with the old dashboard from the 924. I think they were build until 86 or 87.

I am guessing your car does not have a catalytic converter on it? Do you know the part number of the muffler you have. I have a dansk on my NA and it is much quieter...too quiet.

This is NOT a "944 S1." The 944 S1 was a 1987 model that was a 16V version of the 2.5L, rather than 8V. This is an "early" 944, before the 1985.5 refresh. Just FYI.

maybe it's a little missleading because there is an S2 version of the 944. But I hope most of you get what I meant. Let's call it an early 944. It's been sold just a couple of days ago but I still have the K&N filter + adapter in case somebody is interested in it.

@@PPlowcake I didn't mean to sound trollish or perfunctory; I was just in a hurry. :) The thing sounds nice. If you ever get a chance to hear the S1, with its 16 valves, it sounds even better!

Open air filter always gives more power...

not that I really notice it. Most impact is on the sound side by full-throttle.

@@that_escalated_quickly2720 the K and N filter was dyno tested to give 0 hp and 0 Tq over a paper filter on 944's. even without a filter it made the same power

@@fynpedersen5627 I'm sry, but the sentence was written with the joke in mind, that lots of people THINK an open air filter will ALWAYS increase the power... Don't know if you have come across those people, but maybe my joke on them was not the best to write on here, because nobody gets that I'm actually making a joke on that way of thinking... I agree with you... Most of the time engineers thought really good about the how and where if it comes to the air intake
