Porsche 991.2 GT3RS 7:37" BTG Nordschleife//.

2nd time with the new GT3RS MKII on the Nordschleife.
This time the car felt a lot better and I have found my confidence in it.
Still a lot to learn though. Lifting on a lot of places where I could go flat out. Taking it step by step.
Car is 100% stock. Only change is max. downforce settings.
It sure was a great day! Did a 7:36" at the end but unfortunately the camera died during the lap.

Great driving; that RS is waiting for your skills on a near empty track! The GT4 videos are a bit more exciting to me, though. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a manual or if it’s due to how much more attainable a GT4 is (to me) financially. Excellent car nonetheless; I wish I lived close to the ring ; (

I was behind a gt3 rs in the autobahn. We were driving 80 in the construction zone. After that we both floored it but after a minute or so he was out of view 🤣 acceleration is insane in those things. (I was in a alfa gt 2.0 xD )

already on par with your GT4 and you can definitely improve the shifting and go more agressive. but you also already experienced that its way less forgiving, so don't push the limits too hard yet, although you know its very capable

Thanks. Not really no. The car has so much power and goes so fast it would be really tricky with a manual. It would all a bit much to get fast times. I should try to compare with a manual GT3! If I only knew somebody who has one :)

A GT3 is all about the driving feeling/pleasure. Iam a Mercedes fan and i dont really like Porsche except of the 911 GT 3. For years they build awesome manual GT 3s which i absolutely loved. They were slower than the competition with faster automatic gearboxes but they didnt care because the GT 3 was all about driving pleasure. In the last couple of years they started to "compete" against the rivals and build the GT 3 with a automatic gearbox (pdk). In my opinion that was a big mistake. (Later they released a "touring pack" with manual only). They should have release the GT 2 with automatic and the GT 3 with manual only. Why buy a GT 3 with automatic gearbox? It doesnt make any sense in my view. Just buy a GT 2. And its really sad to see so many GT 3s with automatic gearboxes. If i want (i dont have the resources but lets dream for a sec) a automatic sports cars then i can find other (maybe better) cars than the GT 3. But can i say the same if the GT 3 would be manual only? I doubt.

Thanks for the comment! Try everything you can to get the new GT4 (or even GT4 RS) Go to other places if your dealer can get you one. Even non-official Porsche dealers if they can guarantee a slot. Had the same situation with my GT4 and just went to a non-official dealer who bought slots from Porsche Helsinki (because nobody buys GT cars in snowy countries.. ;) After driving the GT3 RS I see even more how amazing the GT4 is. Punching way above it’s class.

very nice lap. Smooth driving. How did you change your line going up to Höhe Acht this time to counteract the weight shift of the rear-biased 911? The other GT3 probably helped ;-) You'll be down to 7:00 BTG, with no traffic, in no time!

Thanks. More gently on trowing the car in the corner + using more of the track. Also braking a little harder to stabilize the car more (slow in/fast out)

Steel. Best option if you will track a car often because much cheaper to replace pads & rotors. Also safer because ceramics can shatter. That’s why almost all race cars have steel brakes as well.

Because of the more raw naturally aspirated 9000rpm engine! The same engine Porsche uses in their race cars such as the RSR, GT3 R and GT3 CUP. You don’t get that with a GT2 ;)
