How did you reinstall the door handles, having trouble with mine. The front most retainer clip won’t slip into where it needs to be
@TheStockpile Жыл бұрын
Oh man... it's been long enough that I just don't remember off the top of my head. I wish I had filmed some additional footage on the installation. I do remember it was a two person job with one person holding the parts in place.

Nice job Cam…. That rear diffuser looks fantastic. It must be a real pig to change because you’re pretty brave when it comes to disassembly, so for you to say leave it to the experts 😱. Was it the clips? You’ve ordered a ton of carbon…what’s been you’re favorite upgrade…rear diffuser, paddle shifts? I can’t remember if you ordered any of the front DB carbon pieces (inlets, center section etc)…thanks for sharing Cam, always love your videos!

Yes, it's primarily the clips holding the parts together- there a slew of them that need to undone (and then some parts within the original valence that need to be transferred over to the new piece). Watching by buddy (who is a Porsche tech) hammer the clips with Herculean force was unnerving. I think we ended up breaking two of them. Favorite part is probably the door handles or the shifters. It's just cool to be able to use something. Lots of front parts coming later this year. Appreciate it!

Amazing vid . Question what is the spec , exterior color and what color stitching and deviated leather did you pick ? Thanks again
@TheStockpile2 жыл бұрын
Exterior color is Sport Classic Grey. The interior is just one of their off the shelf options- the slate & chalk combo

Maybe just me, but I don’t get the DB Carbon concept. For me, Carbon is yes decorative but mainly a means of shedding weight. Why coat sometimes ill-fitting OEM parts and add weight?? Give it a few more months and there will be plenty of 992 true carbon parts available.

Absolutely fair perspective. For me I just love the look, love putting it in, love giving biz to DB, and I don't like to wait 😃

Hi. Do you have any errors with DBCarbon door handles ? Because Dbcarbon said they have problems with door handles’ sensors so the keyless entry function doesn’t work properly sometimes… Thank you sir!
@TheStockpile Жыл бұрын
No errors that I'm aware of. They told me that sometimes the handles work and sometimes they don't but I haven't had a problem with mine.

Hey, I'm working on a similar project and I'm a bit worried about breaking something. Can you give me some tips on how to safely remove the rear part of the steering wheel? I'd really appreciate it.
@TheStockpile6 ай бұрын
It's been so long I'm not sure how much help I can be. When you say "rear part" what are you referring to? The whole wheel comes off by unscrewing a bolt in the front under the air bag. At that point you can work on any attached components on the back of the wheel.

Similar issue too. Once the wheel is off how did you remove the plastic trim on the back to access 6:15 - Was it pried off or is it screwed down?
