Great driving as always ! What are the mains differents with the 992 cup car ?

The two cars are entirely different. The gt3 is a full on aero car. This lap was a 1,48.0 which is 3s faster than I've ever driven in a cup. The only similarities I would say are how the engine behaves but that's it

@@bmardiniHow does the sound of the engine/gearbox compare with the Cup? A magazine tester drove both, and claimed the R was much quieter than the Cup. Thanks.

@Goodwood2010 the answer is it depends. The cup has 3 exhaust configurations - supercup (straight pipe, loudest), standard, and silent (massive muffler and side boxes, kills about 50hp too). In supercup trim it's much louder than anything. Standard is about the same. The R has a higher rev limit and a nicer melody in my opinion. But nothing on earth compares to the 991 RSR from a few years back.

@@bmardini Thanks for the reply. The RSR certainly was amazing - and badly missed. Especially as Manthey are running the NLS spec triple muffler on the GT3 R in WEC - the IMSA cars with the single muffler sound so much better. The triple muffler Cup is a very depressing sound, when you know how great it sounds with the Supercup exhaust. Thanks again.

How different is this to the 991.2 GT3R which you drove at Barcelona? Great to see you in a GT3!

The 992 feels like a better chassis and more driveable. Performance you never know because gt3 is all bop. I need to get a proper resin seat made because I'm moving around too much and thats costing me a lot
