PORSCHE CAYMAN S 987 MICHELIN PS4S TYRE REVIEW (Are they the best tyres for a Porsche)

In todays video I am going to review my brand new Michelin PS4S tyres that I had fitted to my Porsche Cayman S 987. Are they the best tyres for a Porsche and are they worth the extra money. I watched a low of tyre reviews before purchasing these and generally found the videos were almost lab conditions and not a real world test.
We will also take a bonus trip to see the steam train on the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland. This is where the iconic scene on Harry Potter was filmed along with some CGI but either way it is probably the most famous viaduct in the world. that I had fitted a couple of weeks ago. I chose to go for the Michelin PS4S rather than replace for like for like. The tyres that were on the car were Bridgestone Potenzas and despite having plenty of tread left they were old and cracking on the edges, they seemed quite dry and I didn't have the grip I would have liked.
I have tested the tyres out on a wide range of road surfaces and conditions, everything from bright sunshine and warm smooth roads to patchwork quilt of a road and snow. I am really impressed with how they have performed on my 987 Cayman S.
I am up in Scotland on a family holiday and I am taking the time to make use of the scenery and get out and create some content like this. I am super lucky to have been able to bring my Golf GTI up to Scotland along with my Porsche Cayman 987 S so testing them out on different roads and putting them side by side in a variety of conditions has been incredible.

Just had a pair of PS2 fitted to the back. Wondering now if I should have had PS4. Didn’t see them N rated in a 19” .... but doubtless the PS2 will be absolutely fine driving roads around High Peak. It’s not like I’m trying for best times on The Nürburgring....

Great upload Joe, really enjoyed the video. Hopefully I’ll find time to get up to Scotland with the car - does look special 👍. A little bit disappointed with my current tyres Continental ContiSport3 . This winter and maybe not a huge lot of use last year Has resulted in them starting to crack on edges like you mentioned yours had . (Date on them says year 17) . Still loads of tread left but I’m considering a set of those Michelin’s especially as also hoping to get across to the Nurburgring circuit if / when the world gets back to normality.

I had the potenzas on my cayman. They didn’t last 20k miles. Put the pilot sport ps2 on and I love them. I think you will be very happy with them. Scotland looks beautiful. You ever come to America got up the dragons back in maraposa county California. Great video 👍👍

For daily driving PS4 non-S are better, as they don't require early heating up before they actually start gripping.
