I had a rattle on my 992 as well, also on passenger side. The noise was with bass from the music and sounded like there was paper or a tag pressed up against a speaker , and only certain frequencies caused it. Some days were worse than others. I went to get it fixed 2x ( first they replaced my bose speakers, and the second they added sound deadening to the door panel). It worked for awhile, but it came back. I took it back, and it was the seal/ cover for the electronic motor for the window mechanism. Since that one was causing the issue, Porsche stated to change the other side (drivers side for me) as well. If your rattle comes back, that’s something to consider , because it’s the issue I had. Also, you mentioned “cigarette lighter port”…. Check the passenger foot well, at the bottom to the left on the center stack…. You may have a port there. That’s what I use for my radar detector :).

No way.. sounds to be the same situation... they added insulation/sound deadening only, and seems to be working. I'll keep a lookout to see if it comes up and I'll suggest what you're saying. Thanks for letting me know! 🤙 was it both sides for you? Mine seems to only be the passenger side

⁠@@jeffcamarayeah, let me know if it does, and I can take a picture of the service paperwork on what they did. I believe there are some codes on there that they used. Mine was only the passenger side as well. I literally just got the car back 2 days ago for it hahaha. It took 4 days just because I had to wait for the parts to come in

@@jeffcamaraI have the uniden R3. I think it’s the 3…. I’ve been happy with it and it’s saved my ass a handful of times. I also will use Waze (just plug my phone in and have the maps open on my pcm screen) it helps show where cops may be based on other peoples inputs. That’s saved me countless times as well. Also saved me when someone submitted that there was an “object in the road”…. I moved to far lane.. gave myself space, and sure enough there was a small sofa right there in the middle of the damn highway. Def glad I didn’t hit that at 70 on the highway at night….

Hey Jeff, you mentioned not sure if you had a cigarette plug in your car, check your passenger footwell, I have a 2020 C4S, thats where mine is and thats where I plug my Porsche trickle-charger in.....let me know if you have one, I'd imaging yours does. Get out is it really?? I've already vacuumed and didn't notice haha... I figured the trickle-charger would be linked up to the frunk. I haven't used mine at all cause I use mine all the time. FYI, if you end up needing to use your trickle charger, don't let anyone tell you the 12v socket does't work with it, it does, just takes a certain sequence when plugging it in and turning it on. If you ever need it i'll send it through your Instagram! Take care.

You mentioned that you have the center lock tool, but you need to check out a video on removing / installing Porsche Centerlock wheels There is a special grease that you need to lubricate the wheel and this long Torque wrench to tighten the wheel, assuming you try to do it yourself. Glad everything went well on your first service. I saw the video on the new GT3 Touring. I love the car, but being a GT3, I know I will never get at allocation for it. I may just go ask someday, but I know I will never get an allocation for it. Have fun!

Thanks for the tip!! I gotta grab that torque wrench the the center lock! Oh man only one way to find out if you'll get the gt3 allocation..just show up if you're ready! I'd call a few locations in the area like I did and go with your gut.. you'd be amazed at what could Happen!! 🍻🤙

The car i took out that made me fall in love with the 911 had a bose system. I have to admit the burmester bass and sound are definitely a noticeable.. so crisp, no noise.. but when the windows are down or the top is down, I find myself just lowering the volume and listening to the car haha.. but lets be real, the bose does a great job.. you can't go wrong either way, but the Bur does beat it sound quality wise

What was the service for the 1st year? Some dealerships won't change the oil until 10k miles?

Porsche service is one year or 10K miles for oil change. If they're telling you to wait for 10K miles, something is up. On my service form, it states 1 year / 10K miles oil change service.
