Any car advocates here to explain the sound of the GT3Cup exhaust sound? I've never heard such a spaceship sounding exhaust before. Couldn't find anything that sounds remotely close online.

I got you😊 , So the "spaceship" like noise is essentially the straight cut gears inside the transmission. (Straight cut gears are used in more racing applications due to them being more efficient than heilcal gears) And the sound is created Because of the "Straight cut" teeth that the gears have being in contact with each other for long periods of time.
