I was reluctant to try out this item, but today I received it and installed it. It was very easy to install, but I did install it in the rear cup holder because reaching for my drink to the front is much easier while the phone is out of the way and charging on the rear cup holder. It took about five minutes to install and I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a Taycan.

Nicely done video, thank you!That Apple Watch Ultra has some pretty sharp edges. It looks great but personally, I would remove it to avoid any possible scrapes while you work on your Taycan. Again, nice job and attention to detail.

Is it possible to install it in the back cupholder? That seems preferable to me because then you have less disassembly of the console, less distance to run the wire, and your phone stays completely out of the way of the screen. Also, does the drink tensioner rattle when you leave it in the bottom of the cupholder?

Yes, you could install in the rear cup holder. Both cup holders are the same size and, yes, less disassembly of your car. Although, the video makes it look harder and longer than what it really is just to make sure you don't make any errors. In reality, you can install this in about half the time of the video. I have never heard the drink tensioner rattle in my cup holder. There is a rubber pad in the bottom and also once you install the mount, no sound can really get out. But you could just as easily throw that tensioner in your glove box if you want.
