Rain also means less forest fires, probably one of the better areas to be in washington considering.

The biggest wildfire in Washington happened in this area
@patrickbertlein462611 ай бұрын
That is factually not true. Three biggest are Carlton Cold Springs and oakanagan. So what fire are you talking about? Next time do a simple fact check before saying shit that is simply wrong. @@m1chael804

Liked the video but I would like to comment on the last few things David said before the end of the film. He said the downside of Port Angeles is the lack of a mall for people that want to go shopping. From my experience people that visit seaside towns are not looking for a mall. They are looking for unique gifts that they might not find elsewhere. That is for the visiting public. If someone wants to move there than they might not like the fact that there isn't one.

I live here it suck tweekers and trash every wear the town has lost its original park the skating rink closed down a few years back the town has nothing to do now beside the new pool other then that the prices have skyrocketed here and it’s horrible a mall anything would be amazing at the moment the most exciting thing coming to port angles is Pizza Hut 😐 that’s it the town was lovely but with the influx of tweekers the town has removed a lot of the trees bushes and fenced of the main bell in the center of town and the fountain is never working ever the lake is amazing I have lived in port angles and in Joyce my entire life here never gone anywhere but spokan for a day I have to say that port angles is dead I grew up here but everything that made this town amazing died a few years back now it feels dark and gloomy

As far as visitors are concerned, you are absolutely right. It is a great place to get away from malls, freeways and all that. If you live here, the shopping opportunities are limited. Yes, there's a Walmart (and another one in Sequim, just 15 minutes east!). For groceries you've pretty much got Safeway - 2 stores, and Walmart. If you want a Trader Joes, that is about an hour drive south to Silverdale. I don't see why they can't put a Target store out here which would provide some variety in domestic goods. For that, you gotta go to Silverdale, too. I wind up doing a lot of on-line shopping for clothes, household stuff, etc. And given the senior population, neither PA or Sequim has a Denny's! Plenty of the usual fast food places, and there are some good restaurants in PA, too. One thing there is no shortage of is cannabis retailers. An honest-to-God liquor store? Nope, it is back to Silverdale for that, too. At least Safeway tries to cover the basics on that. And one more thing - for a city of about 20K, there is only one half-assed taxi company?? Please.

I remember going across that Elwha River bridge in the school bus in the 60's, it was a one way bridge. You had to complete with loaded log trucks....

I lived in Port Angeles for many years. We we’re able to walk out the door without locking the door. Bridge going out to Joyce. Tell them about the lady of the lake and the Olympic Hot Springs. Port Angels was known as a nudist colony and they would have taken Abraham Lincoln up to Port Angels to keep him safe if the war went the other way. Maybe they should have done that anyway considering 🤔

I have visited several times while living in Tacoma. I think it is a beautiful place. However, the nighttime makes me somewhat nervous and anxious with all the vampires in that region. I am entertaining retiring in the Port Angeles vicinity or Missoula, MT. Both are beautiful, but Montana has its fair share of Yetis in the winter. Just saying... Thanks for posting the video!

We had the same consideration. Snow, black ice and radical Rep. politics pulled us to PA over Montana but Missoula is a fun Town! Both have pension benefits for sure.

A lot of good information here, but I feel like this video is titled incorrectly. Rather than “Port Angeles”, it should be “Olympic Peninsula.” I was expecting more of an actual town tour.

Florida is no longer the affordable safe place to live. It’s over crowded and crime ridden, and the hurricanes and related insurance are off the charts. Summers there are unbearably hot and humid.
