Beautiful day, Andrew. Were you crossing with car or bike? I could see on Google Maps that there were some bike trails over at the PA Nature Preserve. This is a busy place and the land is scrubby coastal for the most part. Gord

@@cyclingtexas1670 Andrew, it would have been interesting to see some of the Port Aransas area. Clearly, this was all industrial at some point. But now they have eateries growing up all over the place. I used to live in Cleveland, Ohio years ago. Since I was a kid in the early 60's, the flats area by the Port Of Cleveland at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River on Lake Erie was all heavily industrial. The Cuyahoga River became famous when it started on fire because it was so polluted. It was literally chartreuse green in color... yes, that bad. The color of copper when it oxidizes. Since then it began to revive starting in the early 70's with bars and eateries popping up along the river. This happened only after they cleaned up the river and adjoining Lake Erie. When the water returned to being normal color, the redevelopment began. After 50 years it became an exclusive place to come and eat and see the totally revived scenery around the river. A total transformation. I wonder if that is what is happening in Port Aransas... Gord

@@gorrdd very interesting information. Perhaps I should do a Port Aransas Bike ride around town then.

@@cyclingtexas1670 Yeah, if they have done some improvements or if it is undergoing renovations to revive the area, it would be interesting. Probably worth doing some research online first to see what the story is. Thanks for the ferry ride, that was neat... seeing how busy it is with vessels coming and going all the time. Gord
