Good suggestion for those who feel too much motion sickness. But for first time riders, I think it will be more fun than the sickness. Because they drive the ferry Soooo Faaastt...😱 And from Male to Maafushi it's just 30 minutes ride. So with the enjoyment of speed boat ride and on a blink of your eye you can reach maafushi on no time ☺️👍

For the government ferries the schedules are very uncertain. Sometime you can see it even before one week to 10 days and sometime just 2 to 3 days before. But for private you can book the tickets almost before even one or two months of your journey. Thank you 😊👍

Hi Ankur, Aaisa kuch bhi nahi hai. Online and offline ticket holders get the same priority. And these government ferry schedules are not fixed in too advance. You have to check it's timing over counter or online you can get it maximum one week to 10 days in advance. So keep an eye on the DSS website if you are planning to book govt. Ferry online/offline. After seeing your comment I also checked the same and it's not available on your mentioned date. Not sure why so ..!! You can do one thing, book an early morning ferry from Port Blair to Havelock. It will reach Havelock in one hour. Then again from Havelock book another ferry to Neil, whose departure time is at least after two to three hours of your Havelock reaching time. This is a bit costlier but an alternative option for your travel during your mentioned date. Also if you want you can stay one night in Havelock in case all the way you are travelling to the beautiful Havelock Island. Thank you 😊👍

I am in Havelock now. Green ocean 1 in which going to deck is allowed is presently not functioning. so no ferry available which allows you to go on deck, this is what i am told. saw ur comments it was 1 month old showing. i had booked 1.5 month back Green ocean 1 was not functioning. so before going make sure. dont just go by what others experiences. One more sugestion if u r visiting, Dont trek for Elephant beach, i advise to go by boat. Rest is your choice. Get info from mutiple sources other than youtubes also, to enrinch more info to make yout trip comfortable. This is my advise. you can completely ignore my advise also. Ty

Hi friend, Yes, Green ocean is the only ferry where going to the open deck is allowed. (This is 100% correct information). But due to some reason, if the green ocean is not functional, then you may be going by Makruzz or some other catamaran category of Private boat, in which obviously going to the upper deck will not be allowed. So make sure if you book the green ocean online in advance, and if they are functional and finally if you are travelling by green Ocean ferry, then 200% you will get access to the upper deck and enjoy the open view with a dance floor Vibe as shown in my videos. And thank you very much for your update on this green ocean boat functionality. So mat be due to some reason, it's on temporary halt. It will be more helpful for viewers if you can get the information and comment below the main thing that "till how many days/months more the green ocean will not be functional? And when its service will resume?" Thank you 😊👍🏼

For the government ferry you can cancel the ticket maximum by three days prior to sailing at a cost of I think 15 to 20 rupees per ticket. And for private ferries like Macruzz and all, they charge 250 rupees per head of cancelled before 48 hours of sailing. And 50% of the paid amount if cancelled after 48 hours. Thank you 😊👍

You can travel with a WL counter ticket. But again it will be the same thing as you book a Normal WL counter ticket, where you can board the SL coach but you will not get any seat. And in case of rush, sometime TC tells these WL passengers to even go to the general coach also. So just check all these things and as per your convenience proceed further. Thank you 😊👍

Government ferry ka schedule zyada pehle se fix nahi hota. But for private ferry like Makruzz, green Ocean and all you can get the schedule online before two to three months. (You can check it live on their official website). And booking aap jitna pehle Karo utna better hai. If your travel plans are fixed and there is no change in your travel schedule, then you can book your ferry as soon as your itinerary is fixed and flights are booked for Port Blair. Thank you 😊✌️

Hi Soham, For long Island first you have to reach rangat island by bus or cab from Port Blair. Then you can take a boat from rangat to long which will take one hour approx. (Note that the boats don't operate all days. It generally operates on alternative days) And then from there you can go to guitar island also. Thank you 😊👍

Yes, if you land in Male by 11:30 am then hardly 30 min for deboarding procedures and immigration. And then another maximum half an hour for taking luggage from the belt, and then another 30 min all together to come out of the airport and take a cab and to reach vilingilli jetty of Male city by cab from Male airport area. So as per this time frame it will take maximum 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the ferry terminal after deboarding from your flight at Male airport. So you can go ahead very easily without any time constraints if your flight is on time. Thank you 😊👍

If you are planning for a government ferry from Port Blair to Havelock, then in my opinion you can wait until at least one week to 10 days before your travel. Because Macruzz tickets you can get easily even before 2 to 3 days. So just see till 31st of Jan month, If you are able to get government ferry tickets then fine, or else book any private ferry on the first week of Feb. (Try to book the Green Ocean. Ok. Bunk class is similar to dormitory style beds. These are mainly available in long route or overnight journey ferries such as Little Andaman and all. Whereas chair and seat are for short route ferries like portblair to Havelock or Neil, where seat class is the cheapest option.
