Port Edge Protection

At a typical solid waste transfer station, there is steel surrounding the port edge. As the concrete in front of the steel is worn away by the loader bucket, the steel edge becomes exposed. This creates an opportunity for the bucket to catch the steel and begin to rip it out. But when EucoFloor 404 is placed as a topping, it can be used to protect the steel edge surrounding the port.. The contractor simply lays a 2x4 on the steel and uses that as a screed guide to bring the topping to a higher elevation than the steel. Over time, the 404 product will wear but at a much slower rate than the original concrete subsequently protecting that steel edge for a much longer period.
