Welcome to the Port Louis walking tour, and let's explore together and find out what life is like in Port Louis. Port Louis is the capital of the island of Mauritius, which is located in the northwest of the island. It is the most populous city and about 150 thousand people live here - it is also the largest city on the island of Mauritius. There is Chinatown, the dominant feature of which is the pagoda, then there is the government building from 1738, Fort Adelaide, Mauritius Postal Museum , Central market , or the botanical gardens of the East India Company. The capital, Port Louis, was founded in 1736 and there are still preserved buildings from the colonial era. Other larger towns are Beau Bassin-Rose Hill, Vacoas - Phoenix, Curepipe and Quatre Bornes.

I'm impressed. I never knew Mauritius can be like this. One thing I've noticed is that the place makes black Africans look like foreigners. I can't even tell how the people are like: Some look like Indians, Chinese, Caribbean, and more with few black. I love it, indeed.

This is because mauritius was used as a prison island , so many people from indian subcontinent were sent there like indians and pakistanis , if im not mistaken , prisoners from malaysia were also sent there , thats why there is a kind of chinese touch .
