I have a 98 Civic, heater core went out so I have wind but not heat. $600-$900 to have replaced since in my car entire dash, and steering wheel come off. Car is not worth the cost, there is no money for a new car, or I wouldn't be driving a 98 civic. Thinking of getting this now

Im having the same problem. O6 Chevy HHR When i bought it no heat/ defrost then changed battery/ radiator flush and got some heat but now its 2 degrees outside and need something until i can afford to get something done

Thanks for nothing buster! Soon as you turned on your defroster the review went out the window. I wanted to see the product and ONLY the product. It already had to overcome the fact it was cheap chinese garbage to begin with. China thanks you for being a good comrade in your review.

turning on front defroster isnt that bad of an idea in combination of this. As he said, its gonna move it around much faster. While this space heater can produce warmth way faster than a super cold engine can. And at a much higher temperature right away. But it doesn't really have that capacity to get the warm air all over the place, atleast not as efficient as the car-fans can do. Even if its just a small cold breeze moving the hot air around, it will help. It will definitely speedup the defrosting process. If you really hate scraping ice, then something like this is golden. But i'd probably go for a small 500w portable heater and an extension cord. It packs just that little extra of power that a 12v plug cant provide.

Waste of $25. Little heat comes out. In about 10 minutes in one spot on my windshield cleared up the size of maybe half a cantaloupe.

Agreed. I bought -and returned- the same unit. The fan barely moves air around and it gets lukewarm at best.

Just like most cheap 12V. DC heaters/defrosters, you have to rely on alternative fan force to move heat !!!

i bought the amazon basics space heater and an extension cord, melts my windshield in 30 seconds :)

None of the heaters that plug into lighter are going to be all that powerful. I got curious and hooked mine directly to battery. It's more powerful now. Still not as good as regular car heater but it's more effective since I did this

Try buying anti fog interior glass cleaner it did the job for me and now i can always see clear through my windshield because it prevents the windows from fogging up inside
