And I’ll through in another tip, if the heater has been put away for the winter you may find that the flame may not burn true when it’s first lit it may burn like an orange colour. This happened to my mini supasers and I found by getting the vacuum and by using the small nozzle give where the flame comes out of the bottom a good going over as dust or insects can block the flow of gas. Do this each time you bring it out and it should be tickety boo.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try vacuuming my heater. It looks pretty dusty and the pilot light keeps going out. Haven't used it for a while.

This is not the correct way to light a gas heater. If the flame jumps past the pilot light, it means you have the wrong regulator fitted and the pressure is too high, which is what causes the soot marks on the front of your heater, this is through your heater over burning, if you are unsure on how to use a heater contact your local gas supplier as gas is very dangerous.

I cured mine by using my kitchen blow torch, I lit the fire in the normal way and whilst holding the control knob down I heated the thermocouple to red, it now works fine
