Bought a 2 pack, with 6 ft cord, bought 2 usb 10 ft extensions, I made and use a 12v solar panel system and 4 usb hub that connects directly to a 12v battery, the solar charge command has two usb ports. I use these lights in my off grid cabin. Coming directly off the solar and a 12 v battery , to operate the two light, I can keep them turned on 24/7 infinite, or until the battery is dead dead. So with this in mind , I set up all my lighting to be usb 5w lights , I use several usb charging lights for under counter and a 12v camper recessed light pucks( those are wired0. I get plenty of light source off grid. Even on a cloudy day or three the solar panels refract out enough electricity to keep the light on fine. This from one 12v deep cycle , and one 100w panel, Now I have two more deep cycle batteries and four panels for a smart tv, several usb fans , my laptop and a coffee maker, I have to run a generator in deep winter with snow to charge batteries some, BUT the single battery with the lights no problem. Im getting about a week-7 days of continious light from a full charged 12v battery, if i dont charge it, With solar, its a smart light source for a long duration. I bought the two pack in white cord, I hung from ceiling, with a lamp shade, it puts out about a 60w lamp of light maybe a bit brighter, they are a great high efficient light for people who are strapped for money. Like if you have to live in a shed. I didnt need to do this, Im calling it homesteading, but trying to do it as cheap as possible, as the tiny home trend is going. I watched a show on earthship years back and always wanted to do that, live that way. But I think as our world is going, this off grid way living in a shed and making it a house is becoming very big. Mine is 12 x 28 with a 4 ft front deck...And its bigger than my first apartment which was a studio at 400 a month in 1988, my shed, i own it. I dont pay electric bills, water bills or mortgage, I own it free and clear.

- I completely agree with you. I have multiple ways for light, cooking, heating, etc. I have easy access to water and ways for purifying. Most people nowadays have gotten so used to public utilities and have no idea what to do if those services are down

@@Steve-Goff There was a time i was almost homeless, boondocking in my car. Having to do that, i discovered many hacks and ways. I have a camping system now in my car , that no matter what, I can just hit the road, pull into any campground and live just fine. And a full way to stealth camp in a rest stop. When I was a kid, i made an underground fort , entirely water proof and heat proof in the Arizona desert, it was 70 degrees 24/7 no matter if it was 120 degree day. i had a full survival shelter set up like any off grid homestead you see on YT. This was in 1979 ish, only had flash lights and candles for lights, but I made a hearth fire and could cook full dinners or meals, i had a bed a chair a table...everything need l;ike a house, i dug out about 1000sq ft 6'5 ft deep and had a funn roof made of lumber i found in alleys and scrap piles, then back filled with dirt to be entirely comaflaged. Could walk all over it all day and still not know you were standing on my house. Its learning like this when you are a kid that makes you a top bushcrafter.

There are so many "rechargeable usb lanterns" out there, but when they no longer hold a charge, they're e-waste. These bulbs are great, because the power source is whatever you provide. If your power bank dies, use a different one! I've bought three of these and am taking them camping this weekend, one for the tent (switch will be down near my pillow, and the light hanging from the top of the tent). The second will be over the cooking area most likely, and the third for wherever it is needed. When I first saw one of these Onite bulbs, I thought they were silly. But then I thought how nice it will be to have the remote switch where it can be turned off and on without having to get out of my sleeping bag!

- they put off a surprising amount of light and can last for several nights off of a small battery bank

I use a light strand wire, with 2 AA batteries , stand them on my tent pole, thats a decent amount of light in my tent, you know those tiny fairy lights on a wire for 5-8 bucks at walmart, but yes I use one of these light bulbs too. They sell 21 w folding backpack solar panels which I use to charge my battery bank for my tablet and phone and light in my tent. Its nice to have a tablet with a ssd card of 128gb, i load up a bunch of movies on my tablet and kick back on the cot and watch movies. More glamping ideas for you guys.

Bought two of these bulbs one for my anker 20,000mah, and one for my jackery 500 solar setup. Gonna be a nice add on to the canvas tent setup.

If you get a portable power station you could use Christmas lights to light up a whole room or even usb powered desk lamps

I had 2-USB lights similar to these but not the same brand, in my cabin I'm building, and they were great to have on hand. I spent a lot of time last summer in the cabin and I used them over my Coleman stove when cooking and hung them up in various parts of the cabin. Unfortunately, they were made cheaply and no longer work but may try these. I ran them on my Echo Solar Bank and RockPile 330 watt solar bank and was easy to move around.

TFW and for commenting. I’ve had this one about 4 months and have used it several times. So far, it seems to be holding up pretty well. I am just about to post a video about the Jackery 240

- I’d compare it to a 25w bulb. It’s enough light to see your way through a room. They’re so portable that you can go from room to room with them
