I have it and use 1 usb to power the screen. I don't even use the ethernet port though because, I use it on the go.

I’m looking into buying myself one of these cause I’m a trucker and I don’t have a lot of options for gaming, I was gonna buy the screen for the series x but I’m just not okay with bringing over $800 worth of tech in my truck lol so I bought myself a series s and now I’m doing research on which portable monitor to buy, I’m pretty much sold on this one considering I won’t use speakers at all since I don’t want to wake up my fiancé in the truck lol (and I could easily bring it into any fuel stop and game at one of the tables 😁)

Seems a bit daft not having a 120Hz display seeing as it's only 1080p. It's not taking advantage of this consoles 1440p display or it's extra fps in certain games. But other than that it does look decent and perfectly adequate, although definitely about £100 over-priced.

It does support 120hz but honestly I have the 4k model, and I play 4k 60 with hdr and I'm really happy with it. The 4k 120hz option does not work.

The one I bought from Amazon (UK) is locked to 60Hz. I also don't know why a 4K version exists for this console seeing as it can't go higher than 1440p.

@@OhTylerB the series s upskales to 4k. I'm quite sure both models do 120 hz. Check on your Xbox video settings. 1080p red. 120 refresh.

My screen came with a usb cable for the monitor screen and I connected it to the back of the Xbox and it works fine

Fun fact he was wrong fact monitor can’t run power off from system their small cord power came with it I just plug into system an it powered on work perfectly fine

i think this is really interesting. i wonder tho about after gaming for a couple hours and then you fold the screen down will the hot air thats still rising out of the vent damage the screen over time?

I always do a full shut down and wait 5-10 min before closing the screen

you can get a y connector. that will plug into both of the console rear USBs. and that can power the monitor.

Mine came with a usb drive so I connected the usb to the back of the Xbox and it worked fine

you are wrong, in the site it says it can run on the Xbox power but only on 30% power and 50% sound you can lower the brightness for the sound and vice versa edit: if you want good sound and brightness use and extension if you are going on a road trip in the night so like you can see and hear

Can the screen run at 120 fps on halo multiplayer ? I’m debating on getting this screen or the x screen from upspec gaming

It can only do 60. But so can the XScreen (which I have) with the XScreen you only need the power cable, G story you’d need the short HDMI and 2 separate power cables as it can’t be powered from the Xbox unlike XScreen. So XScreen is more convenient even though it has a little bit smaller screen

@@RC-df9lz wow you should make a video comparing the two. I’ve seen a review video on the g story screen showing 1080p at 119hz to be exact. Not sure why because i didn’t think it was possible. Also the g story can run off of one power brick. The screen will get power from usb but the volume can’t exceed 50 percent otherwise the screen will shut down because it’s drawing to much power. Is the 60 fps on halo multiplayer a smooth gaming experience on both the screens ?

I bought one yesterday. You can plug the screen into the USB port in the back of the Xbox. It comes with the USB cable.

$269 for a monitor at 1080p and only 60hz and not 120hz, I will expect better fitting on the left end side of the console.

This looks like crap. It’s the same cost as the Xbox and it doesn’t even have a built in battery it’s hardly portable at all. I mean I am glad and think it’s cool something like this is even being developed but if you really want to play portable Xbox just use the app and stream it from your Xbox

You’re right, they missed a trick there…..build a rechargeable battery into the base of the screen……a LifePo4…..to power Xbox and monitor……would be excellent……
