I didn't think about that at all untill just now. perhaps they waited in storage for many years to finally be awoken and sung the moment the elevator passed through. If it was glados who arranged them, it must have been during or before portal one, her being to busy to set all that up while being thrown around as a potato. To say she arranged it while chell slept is incorrect because their were turret opera easter eggs in hidden and unnaccessable places when glados began waking up in portal 2, along with subliminal turret opera allusions on the panels that were automatically turned on during the period when cave johnson's automated messages guided the freshly awoken chell out of her relaxation chamber. Therefore, if the opera was definetely arranged during or before portal one, what does that say about Glados? Glados who fought against chells freedom the whole entire series yet mysteriously the same exact glados whome secretly had a farewell on tap to use at any time? I'd like to know your response.

Personally, I like to think its because GLADoS has some level of humanity still in her. So she's able to do certain things regarding certain emotions. Not to mention she is very intelligent, and likely foresaw Chell eventually leaving the facility and prepared the opera ahead of time. Or something like that, idunno

Caroline did, not GlaDOS. GlaDOS still sucks. She was in the mindset of Caroline when organizing it, and then deleted Caroline to make it easier to get back to testing.

You getting sent to the Moon letting go of Wheatley and glados saving you was foreshadowed throughout the entire game and it's amazing. Example: when Wheatley first smashes through the wall and delivers you to the first test chamber. he says better get going, one small step and everything. Example 2: Wheatley jumped off his management Rail and chel watch him hit the ground. Bc she didn't grab him. [A bonus] before you wake up Glados Wheatley tells you to not let go of him as you jumpe down a set of steps. Wheatley- "please do keep a grip on the device and by extension me" By the end of the game Wheatley is holding onto the device (in this case the massive robot) and by extension you. In both cases if either one of you let go you would have both shurly died

I wonder where Chell went after leaving the laboratory, but here’s what I think (I know this connects with half life, but I refuse to believe that there are no humans left): Chell probably discovered a populated city on the other side of the field housing the surviving humans after the events of half life and stayed there to start a new life.

@@mattparker298 NO. Every godamn depiction of the portal franchise that involves using a portal gun lets you shut your portals with the press of a button. That is not possible, it's most likely that glados either got ahold of the portal gun and destroyed it or something, or she just sealed off the portal with something else in the room.
