Fun fact, GlaDOS was actually way harsher towards Chell in earlier versions of the game. Valve had to tone her down because the players ended up hating her too much. One of the deleted lines is GlaDOS outright stating, word for word, "I'm going to kill you, Chell." Cave Johnson also has deleted lines because J. K. Simmons wasn't comfortable with just how creepy he got in parts of the original script and couldn't read them.

Thing with Portal is that if you already played through it, it's like your eyes are unclouded and you see the solutions super clear and obvious but people forget that when you first play it, you get tunnel vision and focused trying different stuff. What I find when I watch someone play through one of the Portal games, the parts they almost always get stuck on 90% of the time is because there is some piece of the puzzle they are missing because they did not explore the area enough. A lot of the times they forget to look up. Looking around is a much bigger part of Portal 2 than it is Portal 1.

not to be rude, but I don't even think these are valid excuses either at some points during the stream, such as during 21:19 , the first puzzle, just press buttons to open portals to access the rooms in order to progress, simple and easy, right? yet even she got stuck at this part for almost 5 minutes despite the simplicity of it, so the "unclouded eyes" argument can't really apply here due to how simple it is there were a few other cases of this happening throughout both this stream and the next Portal 2 stream, the solution being obvious (whether if you have or haven't beaten the game before) yet getting stuck regardless, but I think you get my point by now tho so I'm not gonna timestamp every time it happened, although forgetting to look around can also play a part in this probably, which she forgot to do on some occasions

I enjoy watching you solving puzzles. I'm pretty good at following people's trains of thought so I can see whats going on and it does make a lot of sense where you got confused. I know it's frustrating sometimes since chat knows all the answers already, and are mostly all people who've been playing puzzle games like this since forever, but following your thought process you just have some logical assumptions that we don't since we're used to that kind of game. You're getting way better and as soon as you realize what assumption was confusing you, you solve it nice and fast. I hope to see you play more puzzle games in the future and I'll refrain from plugging my favorite one because I want you to know I mean this genuinely.

Kiara did really well. It's hard not to get frustrated, because she doesn't get the puzzle 3 seconds into the room, but she honestly did way better than I did in some of them. It probably took me an hour to navigate the part between the Fall and the Cave Johnson rooms (without thouands watching over my shoulder). I just hope she pays close attention to the dialogue. Cave Johnsons speeches / messages are some of my favorite parts of Portal 2. And that is basically the only way the lore and story are explained.

Took me a whole half hour to get through Chamber 20 of GLaDOS' new chambers ( 2:51:52 ) the first time I played Portal 2. But hey, what's a puzzle game without a challenge and some strong thinking somewhere? I did like that the music changed based on how many of the laser receptors were activated

this was a fantastic stream- Portal 2 is built on the pillars of its writing, and the raw discovery process of solving each test chamber. The feeling when the solution comes into focus in your brain is almost electrifying! It makes me glad Kiara was able to harvest so much of that feeling this stream. It was fun seeing Kiara learn a little about science fair projects from my SC ☺️ but I'm _definitely_ glad I could create even a chance that the idea of playing Shadow of the Colossus might stick in Kiara's brain. It's a beautiful, thrilling, and thought-inspiring game- and it too provides that riveting feeling of discovery and puzzle-solving.

The new design was supposed to get players more to connecting actions with portals and them going to new locations. I got stuck on the room with 3 laser activators, the catapult and blocks and didn't get back to it for a few years... then Kiara just breezed through it in minutes and made it look easy! Picked it up again after seeing how to do it... only to get stuck on a jelly puzzle later in the game. Oh well, guess I'll see how she solves that one before returning. Great fun as always!

Another just great Portal Stream! Nice work on the problems! This game really likes to over-work your brain that, when you get to more "simple" puzzles, the brain is just overheating at this moment. There's definitely a lot more to unpack within Portal 2, so feel free to take your time with it. Also looking forward to seeing a Portal 2 collab sometime as well. If you'd like to, I also recommend you try out Valve's other titles, especially Half-Life/Black Mesa as Portal's universe is connected with it, and it's also a really legendary series. L4D2 and TF2 are also legendary great multiplayer games from the same developer! The type of music of your BGM that you were looking for. The genre that sounds closest to me is probably Bossa Nova. It's a type of music that originated in Brazil that has a fast tempo and beat and a lot of the singing sounds very similar. I've heard it's somewhat popular in Japan too so check it out.

Heyas, fellow german here: Ice Tea in Germany isn't a refreshing drink here, since it's mostly seen as a sugar bomb that only the teens, machos and the poor consume in relevant masses. Also it's just not warm enough here in comparison to the mediterranean area you're closer located to with Italy n stuff and the culture swapping over bit. Because of that, iced drinks in general are weird here. You'd need to visit greek establishments to get a good (or, any) frappé, since only cultures who know long periods of heat seem to appreciate iced drinks enough to have them as staple drink without a bad rep.
