I have been planning to make one for a long time...missing a lot of footage of assembly...was done over time...will do a video of complete rundown of everything done and what is coming hopefully in the next few months

@@4x4adventurecanada10 how does it handle on road with the additional unsprung weight? Is there a speed limit on them? Do they require the same service interval as a normal axle? Does the portal use a particular automotive hub or is it distinctly werewolf? What about the wheel bolt pattern?

@@JZX834L bolt pattern is 5 x130 because I had a good deal on Hutchison military beadlocks, so I asked for that spec. Drives ok on the road, but on highway u always need to be attentive ( wanders aroubd the road a bit!) I can get speed up to about 110 kph...never tried to go faster. A big bonus fir me is that the portals eliminate the Disco 2 bearing/hub problem.

That's a nice rig and considering all you've done to it I'm surprised you haven't got the inline thermostat mod done. That factory thermostat makes no sense even when it's working fine it literally makes no sense when you follow the logistics of the water travel. But I have the inline down here in Southern Arizona and I can have the AC on going off-road when we are at 110 degrees out and I get up to about 194

No. Bolt on portals from Werewolf in the Ukraine. easy to mount ans so far so good ! Love them !

max speed is probably around 115kph. At 100kph at just under 3k rpm

@@4x4adventurecanada10 I have been searching for portals for my defenders! I think all true off roaders should have portals...maybe 20 years down the road many factory off roaders may have that option. how much did yours coast?

you can check Werewolf in the Ukraine. I think they will do portals for Defenders.Getting things out of Ukraine may be kind of tricky now...I paid around 10k for the portals. Would have been about the same or maybe even more if I wanted to run 37s without the portals...totally satisfied with the portals@@captarmour
