A recreation of the original Portal trailer from 2006 using assets from Project Beta 2016.
The only thing I redid was the gameplay, just so you know.

One detail of the original trailer you missed is that the track used in the first showcase of gameplay isnt just the HL2 track, but 2 tracks on top of one another

SquidGamer 16 they didn't. The whole mod Project Beta is based on the original trailer for Portal, in which an earlier version of Portal was shown. This is just a slightly modified version of that trailer that uses actual clips from the recreation. It is, in short, a recreation of a recreation of an old version of Portal. The Ellen McLain voice clips are all the same as they were in the original trailer. To conclude, they did _not_ get Ellen McLain to voice this trailer, as your comment incorrectly claims. Unless you're being sarcastic.

I don't know why every one likes the old portals, they seem a little bit weird visualized for me...

They look weird because the Project Beta build I was using (not the public one) uses a slightly bigger portal size (for accuracy), so by switching the texture, it made the old texture look off. I haven't tested this in the public build as I've barely touched it, but I'm pretty sure it uses the same weird portal size.
