i was mad when i saw Nic Anderson leave. still am a little. But after seeing Anthony post himself running routes. I just want to see them try to get a salavable room. hopefully they get something out of the portal. But having an entire room claim nil money and jump on the portal has been exhausting to watch. i don't know anyones reasoning, I'll be relieved if they can just get back to playing football next fall without drama.

The transfer portal and NIL have ruined CFB. Players were loved for their school spirit and loyalty. Now it’s about the almighty dollar. Each year starts a new free-agent market. They have MORE freedom and options than NFL players! They can do it every year with no commitment. How is it right that a school brings in a freshman 4 or 5 star player, invests millions, trains and begins developing the young player, then his sophomore year, before you even get him on the field in a single game, he heads off to the next high bid? Schools should at least be able to offer multi-year contracts, just like the NFL. CFB is already ruined. This, as it is now, is unsustainable for all but a few schools.

It might be best we’ll be getting guys from the portal, guys who have already been developed. Not so sure we’re very good at developing RB, WR, or Qb’s. 2 of our top receivers in Anthony and Burks had already been developed when they arrived at OU. Hopefully Arbuckle will make a difference in development on the offensive side.

We have the best two WR’s on the roster still on the roster in Gibson and Burks. Would you rather pay these guys who haven’t really shown any production or guys who have proven they can produce at an elite level? Plus we are adding a lot of size and our staff has realized, from playing the sec schedule, that every SEC team has size and speed. We also have two NFL caliber HS WR’s coming in that have much higher ceilings than anyone EJ has brought in at this point. We will be fine at WR. What we need is the QB to make it all happen. That should be the one and only concern. The rest will fall in place as long as that happens. I truly believe that

Kudos to the Sooner Scoop guys for trying to stay positive. Unfortunately it is clear the OU program under BV is taking on a lot of water and sinking. 2-6 in the SEC. OU was among the worst offenses and worst Olines and worst Tight End rosters in D1 football. And now the OU wide receiver room is a smoldering crater and disaster. The portal will bring in a bunch of G5 & FCS jags who won't help. Prepare yourselves for another 7-5/6-6 season and a coaching search for BV's replacement.
