Ported Stihl MS500i montage... windowed/piston ported and hybrid 500s

These are all 500s with windows cut in the factory piston or piston swap for a windowed piston... been waiting to let everyone know why some of the 500s im building have that different sound... im also cutting finger ports in and doming/machining the piston 🤘

What if you took a 500i and moved the injector to the decomp hole and added a turbo? Turbo sleds direct inject fuel after the exhaust port is closed for efficiency.

What does the windowed piston help accomplish? Also how much blowdown are you running and why?

There is a lot to it honestly... cutting windows in the stock piston lightens it up a lot... the piston swap/hybrid has a longer skirt and helps the already low intake timing... I run tight blowdown on these saws
