Same problem happens in rhythm games too. Although drumming tbh is a much harder and better skill, the problem still carry’s over time music games like DDR, no seriously. You play at 0.5x speed you’re like: “oh ok, wait wut... oh ok. Wait why is there 900 steps? WHY IS THER-“

This song hit me hard for a fairly... personal reason, I guess? My aunt got me in the habit of saving voicemails, and back when I was 22 my grandma was in hospital, and they ended up pulling the plug. I didn't hear about it until later because my phone was broken like two days before, but I still have a voicemail from my grandma from when I was 16 and she was calling to tell me she'd seen a job listing I'd like. Goodbye to a World sounds like a voice recording getting warped and distorted after being listened to over and over, and the first time I listened to the song in full I remembered missing my last chance for goodbye with my grandma, and then cried until I puked. I still listen to my grandma telling me to go work for a store that doesn't exist anymore any time I need a bit of encouragement, and I still listen to Goodbye to a World when I just need to break down for a bit and reset.

Such an inspiration man. I always wanted to be a professional drummer just never bought a set growing up and once I did have a job just procrastinated on it. Got a run down set for awhile and eventually sold it for emergency money. And now I have an electric drumset an alesis. I'm like a 5 or 4 out of 10 in my opinion on them but I just get so discouraged all the time. But see you and what you are doing just reminds me I gotta keep practicing and eventually put myself out there. I had the idea to livestream or record my process of becoming a pro drummer but to afraid to actually do that haha
