Another perk about renting trucks is that they are often cheaper than an SUV since they aren't as popular. As long as you don't need to haul around more than four people, it's the best bang/buck!
@acochran97683 жыл бұрын
Another good parking tip is to drop everyone but the driver with the bikes and luggage at the terminal and then go park - offsite or long-term doesn't matter as much. When you return, go get the vehicle while the rest of the party is waiting on the luggage. It may take a few minutes longer, but it's less hassle than trying to put all that luggage into the parking shuttle.

That's nice to know about delta. Southwest charges $75 each way if your bag is over 62in in total dimensions which is pretty much impossible unless its a kids bike. If I ever fly with my bike I will be sure to look at Delta.

How do you carry the full face helmets is it in your bike bag
@johnj28033 жыл бұрын
Traveling with bikes vs renting it out. When do you know? I tend to rent bikes (full sus like mine) less hassle. But of course it costs more I think
@PorterMTB3 жыл бұрын
It’s usually $100 or more to rent a nice bike, so the bike bag pays for itself pretty quick, plus you have your own bike! On the other hand it’s a great way to demo a new bike if you’re in the market, and if it’s a 1-2 day trip it’s probably easier to rent!
@dungoofed89833 жыл бұрын
You have to deflate and take out the tubes? Spend half your holiday putting it all back together then taking it apart again
@PorterMTB3 жыл бұрын
No way, I don’t deflate the tires! With the golf bag you need to sometimes cause it’s so small
@mtbhighlands3 жыл бұрын
I read that commercial flight cargos are pressurised. The max your tires/fork/shock/seat post will change by is 3-4psi - not worth deflating definitely not worth taking your tubes out... 👍🏽

Hey 1 question, what do you recommend with the tire pressure and tire sealant?
@PorterMTB2 жыл бұрын
Hard to say in a comment, lots of factors including your tire casing, what terrain you're riding, how much you weigh, riding style, etc. I'm usually in the mid to upper 20's for PSI with Kenda trail casing and orange seal sealant, I weigh about 190.

I hope I don't overstep here Eric, but I advise people NOT to put their tools in their carry-on (unless they're less than 7 inches long). I made the mistake of forgetting to put a few of my tools that were 7.25 inches long back in my check-in bag for a return trip and put them in my carry-on bag instead. They confiscated them at security and I was out $150 worth of tools. Moral of the story: Short tools for carry-on or put them in the check-in bag.
