3:39 why did you went to the 3rd exit while you said 2nd?

The second roundabout you said you are talking the 2nd exit but you took the 3rd

Hi, a little bit of verification at time point 5:10; you said you were taking 3rd exit right. Would that not lead you to A5271 road rather you exited at route A500 M6 South towards City Centre and Newcastle Under Lyme. I'm currently practising my roundabouts and counting them, so I find it confusing as the 3rd should be A5271 exit towards Tunstall.

Hi, I’ve just re-checked my video and you’re absolutely right. My mistake. Top marks for your observation, and thank you for letting me know 😊👍

arent you supposed to check mirrors also when going around the spiral roundabout (when the lane changes)
@ClubDriveUK2 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes! Thank you for this. I did actually check mirrors but I don't get the chance to mention everything I do in my commentary while driving on busy roundabouts. To clarify, mirror checks, as a minimum, should be done on every change of direction and every change of speed, as well as every 3-5 seconds in general. Hope that helps :)

Left signal on an ahead arrow isn't needed. Highway code states UNLESS signs and markings state otherwise then you should signal.

Hi, thank you for your interesting comment. The Highway code is indeed an important guide, but with regards to signals, the most important thing to remember is that you should signal if it will benefit another road user, as long as it does not confuse any road users. Hope that helps :)

@@ClubDriveUK 100% agree and being in a left ahead only lane should be more than beneficial to help others. Hence why it's not needed. Too many learners are incorrectly told to do it as a rule rather than to help. This is what I was pointing out..

@@OFCOURSE20 Ah, yes, I see what you mean, and I kind of agree, and if I were teaching advanced driving, I’d probably say the same as you, as the position of the car is a signal in its own right, but too often learners have so much to deal with that they are unable to find time to think it all through due to lack of experience. I’m guessing you’re an instructor or advanced driver? As an instructor I guess a lot depends on the ability of the pupil you are teaching. I’m retired now, but as an instructor, we all have our own individual opinions for teaching 😊😊😊
