We opted to explore nearby Weymouth on our own!
A complimentary shuttle bus was provided from Portland to Weymouth.
What to do in Weymouth:
-the Weymouth harbour
-enjoy some Fish & Chips or some Dorset Cream Ice Cream
-take a boat tour
-walk across the iconic lifting bridge
-spend some time at Weymouth Beach
-view the statue of King George III erected in 1809 to commemorate King George III’s Golden Jubilee
-stop by the Royal Hotel
-photograph the Jubilee Clock
-browse the shops
