Just bought one of these. Best when used with very dry limbs and shrubbery. Clogs easily with green stuff. Also don't force it or try to use larger 1.5"+ branches. It'll do what its advertised to do but don't push it.

I tend to think the Earthwise one is just a slight bit better than this one because it has a bowl on the top. Also there's a plastic container to catch the discharged chips. Just wish they did leaves better.

Is it holding up after a year? How much was it then? Chipper / Shredders are so useful. 👍👍

It was $99.... I've only used it 🤔 3 times since that video. No issues with it. That's basically just a few small cedars run through it. I love the smell of cedar chips and use them as bathroom potpourri...lol. the outdoor cat likes to poop in a pile I left behind the garage.

Sorry, but I can't give much info... haven't used it a whole lot. I think I've put maybe 5 small-medium cedars through it. No real issues. They tend to gum up a bit and might require a.cleanout, but considering I probably won't use it a whole lot, I'm glad I bought a cheapy!! We live out where we can burn, too...that cuts down on how much I use it.

Yeah...I get why they don't, though. If it were larger, some folks (certainly not me!) would be tempted to put larger diameter limbs in that it's not designed for.

DON'T BUY. I've worked in forestry and used many different types of chippers. Though I'm not such a snob that I do understand that homeowners want something small, but this is a really terrible machine. So much so that I feel morally obliged to write in the comments of everyone of these reviews. Can't chip anything. Jams constantly. These machines will fill our landfills along with the branches they were unable to chip.

Maybe your specific one was just dogshit? I’ve seen them take some impressively large branches with no problem.
