Portland Leather Mini-Crossbody in Nutmeg: My thoughts

I looooove this bag, I have it in the pebbled black and it’s the best. I have the mini backpack in Nutmeg too. These bags are absolutely beautiful.

I have this exact tote and it's my favorite bag. And believe me, you can get a lot in it! I hook my keys onto the brass loops that hold the crossbody strap. The strap that comes with it, is comfortable. But I do use a brown hued multi color guitar strap in its place. Just a personal preference. But hope you enjoy it for many years. Tfs.!

OMG thanks for this video. I kept thinking i needed a medium tote, however i carry about the same things you do and now I'm gonna buy a mini. The medium just seemed like too much. And BTW no mom is just a mom. You're a superhero! Happy 2024!

Its a beautiful bag! I have the same one and same color. I've had it almost 2 years. I got the conditioner they sell and it has kept it looking beautiful :) at first it had all kinds of scuffs on the front pocket but the conditioner fixed it

Hi Gail, I have the exact same bag and I love it. I've been using mine for about 4 months. I keep my phone in that outside pocket and it does stick out a bit like you said. I've noticed that my fingernails and rings are dinging up the leather as I take the phone in and out. Someone told me that a leather cream will buff out all the dings - haven't tried that yet. I've got scratches on the back as well. I really do love it. i bought a guitar strap and I love it too. Although like you, I don't go out about that much so haven't really needed to wear it crossbody yet. Just another thing you and I share in common! Have a great day.

I think we both have really good taste! 😁😄 It’s fun to notice all the things we have in common. I have some leather cream/ balm so I will try that; thank you for the suggestion. I have noticed some slight scratches.

I love my bag in PLB in cold brew but that Nutmeg is a gorgeous color !! I was torn between the two colors when I got mine. It does come in a larger size too for anyone looking for a bigger tote .

The cold brew was my other contender as you know, …It seemed like it would match my current favorite ankle boots 😆 AND it is so similar to the leather that my first purse was made of, from when I was in K or first grade. It made me feel nostalgic and it almost won. 🤎 (And, I’d be twins with my Long Island friend 😁).

even though my kid is grown up now and moved away I'm always in mom mode I always have everything I could possibly need if I were to be in an accident or some sort of situation . I've got first aid medicines bandages tooth brush paste comb wipes napkins neosporin toilet paper listerene gloves masks lotion caugh drops tooth pick Phone charging cable and portable battery charger for my phone and a shopping bag ... mine is full of things I probably dont need but gosh I'M SURE GLAD I HAVE THEM WHEN I NEED THEM :)

Right! That’s it exactly…all the “just in case” items. When our kids were little we had an “emergency bag” in our van with all those things…even Q-tips!

Is the bag itself heavy? I got my mom a Radley London crossbody a couple of years ago, and it's like a nylon quilted type material, with leather features, that's really soft, and light. I want to get this bag for her, but have been hesitating because I'm not sure if it's heavy or not. She is out and about, A LOT. Also, do you regret not buying the zipper version, or do you feel secure with the snap? Thanks in advance!

I don’t regret not having the zipper. I am the type that likes to do stuff quickly, and I don’t think I’d take time to zip it!😆 It’s a very lightweight bag for leather. It’s not as lightweight as my Kiplinger nylon bag but I find it very comfortable to carry or use crossbody. Hope this is helpful. I’m so sorry I didn’t see your comment months ago… 😮 The wallet was a gift from two of my sons but I think it was an Amazon purchase. I’ve seen this larger size at Kohl’s and Vera Bradley has nice cloth ones, similarly sized.
