Loved the cinematic language you used to revisit the pacific islands. Looks and sounds very refreshing to me. Thank you!

Love your og bmpcc videos. When you used to travel with this camera, did you have it rigged up, or did you just travel with just the camera and a load of batteries?
@OfTwoLands Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! Just the camera, the lens and around 5 internal batteries :)

Great footage and well edited! Once again I have to thank you for the native 2.35.1 format and not using black boxes. You should really get a gimbal so it would fit in better with the drone footage!
@OfTwoLands6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, glad you've enjoyed it :) !! Yeah I'll probably get a Ronin S at some point but I didn't mind the difference between to two. This is also the old Pocket so didn't invest in it as much. Cheers

2:47 is probably my favorite shot. There's so many great shots and I'm conflicted as to why, but something about the music and the dreariness of the rain mixed with the depth of the shot down the road just.. ugh I could stare at it forever.

Thanks so much, it is definitely one of my favourites too. Love moody rainy shots :).

i keep on coming back to this video! one of my favouriite bmpcc videos on yt. you did turn off the stabilisation in the 12-35 sometimes right? did you use an nd? cause i'm going to hawaii as well and i^m taking my bmpcc with me. can't wait

Thank you!! And no, I always left the IS on with that lens. I used a cheap circular 0.9 ND from Tiffen :). Have a great trip, I miss this place so much!

I love the pocket camera shots, they make me feel the elements ... not so sure about the drone-shots, i mean they´re beautiful, but too clean and (artificial?) sharp for my taste ... would love to see a "bmpcc-only cut" ;) Cheers, Jochen
@OfTwoLands6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the constructive feedback. Mavic Pro doesn't have the best sensor and it is 4k so when compared to the 1080 super16mm digital of the BMPCC there's a big difference. Love the pocket shots too but I like the perspective that the drone gives :). Cheers, Flo

Nice footage! But the image quality of the Blackmagic looks like VGA compared to the drone footage on the 4K monitor.
@OfTwoLands6 жыл бұрын
Claudinchenchen Haha I would have to disagree on that, I think KZbin really destroys the image. I have a 4K monitor too. Check out the Vimeo link in the description, looks very different :).

beautiful footage but i am noticing a huge difference between the softness of the bmpcc4k footage and the sharpness of drone footage. Was that a stylistic choice to have the bmpcc footage that soft or is that simply how the footage looks out of the camera? would hope for something a bit more crisp, yet still filmic
@OfTwoLands5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, glad you liked it !! It is how soft the footage is. The original Pocket is only 1080 with a super 16 sensor so very soft, especially when compared to the sharp Mavic footage. KZbin doesn't help too.
@ryansulak5 жыл бұрын
@@OfTwoLands ohhh I thought this was on the bmpcc4k. nevermind then! I watched your in-depth bmpcc4k review and am on the fence between that and the fuji-xt3.....but the footage im seeing out of the bmpcc4k wins everytime. xt3 just looks too crisp....thoughts?
@OfTwoLands5 жыл бұрын
@@ryansulak Oh haha !! The BMPCC4K is pretty incredible, I haven't used the xt3 but have heard really good things about. I tend to recommend Blackmagic because their cameras are amazing and fully video dedicated but I've owned a couple of X series Fuji and loved them for their stills. So I guess it depends on what you want to do :).
