Yes, I've read about this in his biography by his daughter Michele Monro. After he came out of the airport doors he was besieged by thousands of screaming fans. They absolutely loved him back in the day. His Filipino fans were great devotees of the romantic ballad, and I still believe they are to this day.

During the pandemic, I became interested in Mr. Munro"s life. I BB was born in the late 60's, and recall seeing "Born Free" as a child. I also liked the theme song. I hope to read his daughter's book.
