This is her secod 6-month assignment in South Lebanon, in additional to previous deployments for Peacekeeping Operations in Democratic Republic of Congo and in Sierra Leone.
Amongst the 850-strong Ghanaian battalion, 65 women are currently serving in Unifil. They are dispatched in 4 companies in Sector West and Naqoura Headquarters and are responsible for Monitoring the area of operations, providing support to the Lebanese Armed Forces and assisting the local population.
