Thank you so much for this! I always wondered why some of my dolls have a scratch inside the head! Now I know it was to test if the greenware was ready to move on to the next stage!

Please tell your guest to stop touching the doll faces. Doesn't she know as a collector that the oils from your fingers get on the doll? Years later that will come back to show. Anyway, I love the dolls, the information you share, and you and your show is wonderful!

He needs to take that ring off before he cracks one of the bisque heads....... Banging it like that... he should know better.
